What is broken in Transposer? Works great here.

In the Mac AppStore (in France), on the page related to Logic Pro X, there is something special...
-- in the right column of the page, it is effectively written OS X 10.10, BUT...
-- in the full text, when you "open" the full texts paragraphs, at the bottom of the text, in the "technical specifications" paragraph, it is written OS X 10.9.5...

Can you verify you have the same in your US or Britain Mac AppStore ?...
It's important to check this point directly from the Apple's fellows...

Waiting for more infos...
Looks accurate in the US store and also, I checked France, looks identical there too. 10.10 is the minimum requirement.

Check out the disclosure triangle at the bottom. The retrigger option is really helpful!

If it's any consolation I just switched from 10.9.5 to latest El Capitan last week to get the latest Logic.

On my mid-2012 non-Retina MBP, El Cap is way more efficient in its use of RAM - both in terms of ~40% less RAM usage from boot, and freeing up RAM after closing programs without needing to "sudo purge" all the time. This is the first time I've upgraded a 64-bit OS (either OSX or Windows) and RAM usage went down, so I suspect there's a lot of optimization since 10.9.

Jolaff wrote:Quick question for logic pro users... is this possible to store a midi loop and when recall it, it loads up with its instrument and channel strip setting?

Thanx
Yes. If you create a software instrument channel strip, add instrument, effects, and a MIDI region you can save it as an Apple Loop, then recall it in later projects and it will load up as a MIDI region with all settings intact. More recently, Logic now supports region based automation as well.

That's lovely. Nice work!

I really hope they bring back camelphat and camelspace.

Hope until I stop doing audio.
I still run into people using Logic Pro 7. For a long time, I knew people still on OS9 too.
Only recently some famous people that made millions using 9 switched to X (that top ranking DJ Mag guys, Swedish House Mafia, Hardwell and company), by that time they rocked 9 and some made their carriers using it, it's not broken by any means, if one is feeling comfortable using something and it's his second nature, that's all that matters, saw guys on 5 still, whatever get's job done.
But seriously, don't you think eventually you will want new hardware and would want to take advantage of new features and bug fixes?
Well, new Mac's or OS X aren't my cup of tea anyways, if I ever get "new" Mac, it will be cheap second hand Mac Pro, Logic is abandoned with all the bugs circa 2012, could&can live with that because it's still usable in his present form, 10.6.8 is too, Apple went too far IMO and really don't see myself investing in their new stuff, rather just staying on what I actually love to use, had best times working in that grey area and it still feels awesome like always, that have more value to me than anything, could care less for anything else at this point in time.

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

had missed the recent apple keynote and macOS Sierra announcement but watched some yesterday. they're adding Siri to the mac so we'll all have that to look forward to ;) or at least we'll all be looking forward to googling how to turn off siri on the mac.

This is a common myth. Region based automation was already there with v8. They just made it more "advertised" with X

At the moment I have 10.9.5 and 10.11.4 running Logic 10.2.2. And Mavericks was definitely less stable than El Cap. El Cap is faster and snappier. And I encountered less crashes, almost none by now.

Siri is totally dumb and annoying on my iPhone so i really don´t need it on OSX...i mean macOS :D
IOS is Apple focus for sure and macOS will share more and more from it. Once they release a full version of Xcode for iOS macOS is dead :o
As long as they finally release Logic Mobile i wouldn´t care. OSX is a bloatware for me. Logic like to crash often and new Macbooks Pro´s are not coming too.

yeah.. the writing has been on the wall for a while. i just updated to 10.11.5 and was on 10.9.5 for a long time so other than some .x updates here or there it'll be years before i change anything. once things are stable and working i try not to mess with it. siri on the mac sounds like a nightmare to me. i'll probably grad a used 2010/2012 12 core macpro for $1500-$1800 at some point just to insure i can grow a little in the CPU dept. currently using 2012 i7 quad core laptop and 2009 2.93 quad core desktop.

the macpro trashcan is still way too expensive even used.
