Now that's a nice task you ask to people! Come on now, there's 7 pages of description about it, people gave their impression and opinion several times, they described the installation process and the general workflow of the instrument, there's even a tutorial video on on their website. What else do you want? Dive and get it, it's not $1000 or wait for the demo...Caine123 wrote:please someone post a small selfmade sampleGAS is still starting

Caine, can I ask you a personal question? I hope you don't mind. We've known each other on this forum for several years now and I happen to know, just from reading all your posts, that you probably have as many synths as I own if not more. You seem to be, almost an addict, not that I'm any better.Caine123 wrote:please someone post a small selfmade sampleGAS is still starting
But...do you have Soundcloud channel? Do you have any place where I can go to listen to some of the music you've made? More bluntly, do you even make any finished music at all?
I'm asking because it seems like you spend more time buying and fiddling with synths than actually doing anything with them musically.
If I'm off base, or if you're content with that and I should mind my own f'ing business, that's fine. But it seems to me that you could probably save yourself some money, and in the long run buy something really amazing with that money saved, rather than just keep getting every little thing that comes out, especially if all you end up doing is tinkering with it and doing nothing really productive with it.
Again, if this is none of my business and you're happy with whatever you do with all this stuff, or if you actually have something to share (I'd love to hear it) you can just tell me to F off. I won't be offended.

first of all, what's it to you ? ... if it's really such an arduous task, or a cheeky request, the people to whom it applies can surely speak for themselves.
second of all, what nonsense are you talking about ... there's 7 pages of description like this:
"i use the fine tune option(s) like cmd or alt click or use 2 finger on my trackpad which works great too.
Indeed it would be great if i could type in parameters as well and i also didn´t find a way to go back to default via double click or something like this. "
what on earth is that supposed to mean to anyone who doesn't have the same plugin/app sitting in front of them, in terms of inferring its sound making abilities ?
much of the user feedback has been negative, and you're encouraging the guy to 'dive in and get it' ?
as far as content on the devs website, please. maybe this is your philosophy any time a new doodad shows up, but plenty of people are like Caine and would actually like to hear more substantial user generated content when there's no opportunity to demo .... and you shouldn't go out of your way to pester those people in to feeling like they are being unreasonable in making a very simple request to hear some sounds that the owners are making .... I mean, jesus, if that's too much to ask on a forum like this everyone should just quit making music as a hobby or otherwise.

No, it's not that you said anything offensive. It's just I was wondering how much music making you do in comparison to buying. Even though I buy a lot of stuff (mostly for my business anyway) I do way more music making than buying. In fact, my Soundcloud page is closing in on 400 tracks soon. And that's just a fraction of the stuff I've done over the years. Relatively speaking, I don't really buy that much stuff. It just seems like it. I still haven't gotten Legend and probably never will. I own one Waldorf synth and that's it. I'll never get Sylenth1 or Spire. I mean the list of things I don't have dwarf the list of things I do have. I'm just very vocal about the things I do have.Caine123 wrote:hey wag. sure. check the osc songs i made on soundcloud and also various stuff i uploaded on dropbox etc. in the avenger topic i also posted a few soundexamples.

Anyway, if you're making music, great. But you really need to put your Soundcloud link in your signature so people can actually find it cause I have no idea where it is.

Don't worry I won't fight. I only fight when I'm in a bowl of Jello with a speedo.
Didn't want to sound rude nor offensive. My bad if it did.

Hi everybody, my name's Rob and I'm the developer of Dust.
Firstly, apologies for bugs and crashes, I know that sucks, especially if you've bought it! But since I'm doing all the coding sometimes something slips through the cracks. In this case big things unfortunately...
I'm currently hard at work for a version 1.1.
The bugs that I've fixed this weekend so far are:
- Crash when running two instances.
- Logic validation fail
I'm currently working on the FL studio GUI weirdness, and the authentication issues.
Other things I'll add for 1.1:
- Make the demo noise a bit less brutal.
- This:
Effect version will be next month. God damn AAX is the only thing stopping this atm.
Sorry again for the bugginess.
Rob
