Arturia seem to use similar marketing strategies to Soundtoys...

To the best of my recollection, Arturia has only given away one gift in recent years, the Minimoog. Which I have, somewhere, but whatever.

That is the issue with that freebie, it never registered on our accounts. So if you lose it, you're just out it.

They sent an email with a link to download it and a personal activation code only..

I don't know. I guess I registered it? There is no download for it. It just shows in my account. So you're right that if you lose the installer you have to find it yourself somehow.

I wasn't sure if you were asking for the serial or activation code.
Unless you bought the product as a download from us I wouldn't be able to find your serial number. If you did purchase it from us I need to know the full name.

same here. i don't remember how it ended up in my account, but i'd never registered anything else of theirs before or after. owned SEM-V for a bit after they gave away the 'minimoog V Original', but they never transferred it to my account when i bought it from someone here on KVR. ended up giving it away to the person that bought my Xils synths, as the license for SEM-V was on my eLicenser.

with the recent thread about 'minimoog V Original' (in which someone did post a working link for the installer) i checked to see if it was still registered in my account. yep, still there, but i noticed as well that the serial number wasn't the same as the one i got in the email.

when i saw that i could download the installer again i got it up and running (last month maybe?). uhh, yeah... i'd never use this thing. never even used it back when they gave it away.

I hope the freebie is the Arp2600 without the sequencer and extra fancy features like morphing and effects etc. That would be great. While I never thought it did the ARP2600 all that authentically, it is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, for the warm "Arturia" sound. And I love the Notch filter. Great pads and ambient stuff too. Since it's their second oldest of the bunch, it's possible right?

The second oldest is the CS80, actually, being the Modular V the first. I'm not even sure if the the ARP 2600 V was the third or the fourth (exchanging with the Minimoog V).

I know you're joking but I think that would be an epic fail after all the countdown hype. In less than a day we'll know if Arturia are heroes or goats. Their public relations ploy might just backfire on them based on what it turns out to be.

I'll still be asleep when it drops so I won't know until later. If it's good the Arturia servers might be slammed to their knees by the KVR Stampede and if it's lame the lamentations will have already begun.....
