Software gets bloated, yes. But, if you put it in 20 years perspective... Remember Win95/Pentium 1 times? Bluescreens, crashes, hangs... Those were regular everyday stuff. Today, I don't even remember last time I have seen a bluecreen.

There are many cause and effect factors, which cause problems with computers.
Not all of those factors include any fault of the user.
These elitists babbling on about how it's all roses for them, are a bunch of wankers.

Absolutely. Finally, Windows can multitask! It took a while getting there, didn't it. And, indeed, it's been a few years since I've seen a BSOD whilst using Windows.Zombie Queen wrote:Software gets bloated, yes. But, if you put it in 20 years perspective... I am sorry people aren't having better user experiences though. I remember when I first bought an i7 back in 2009 and was astounded at the startup time. Of course, that's nothing compared to today's PCs with SSDs but computing had come a seriously long way since my last computer (which was a Dell laptop purchased in 2004).
Moreover, the whole system gave a sense of stability due to what I perceived as incredible speed, at the time. I was given the sense that I might actually complete a mix without having to freeze processing chains! Didn't work out that way, of course, but I have some confidence in expecting my next build to easily cope with a full mix.

I have to say the same. My dell desktop with win10 pro 64 and latest i7 processor is a dream machine. To be honest though... I'm sure glad I through Ableton live in the trash.
