why don't you simply move on? This thread is not about you or your products.
Why don't you respect the creative content produced by your competitors?
Would you be happy if your synth's graphics are ripped and photoshoped by a Chinese company?
Would you be happy if someone samples and clones a Song you have created and makes money with it?
I asked a friendly question. On topic. Valid. Just asking about a feature of your product that *you* advertise.

You are the one who's insinuating wrong doing on no grounds. You are the one who condescends. Chill out man.

You've completely misunderstood the question, it was never about 'ripping' the existing Tone2 created content, only whether it could be used as a tool for generating original wavetables etc (ie based on imported user samples) that can then be used in other compatible products (as Serum can).

You will need to read the whole thread to understand it.

To sum it up:
Urs has written in this thread that he wants to buy Gladiator. He considered to rip Gladiator's oscillators with the 'export to wavetable feature'. He asked if the license agreement covers this. Urs wants to use the sound produced by the Gladiator oscillators in an own, upcoming product (a wavetable synthesizer?).

Post

No, Urs never wanted to rip Gladiator's oscillators for his product, at all. That's just in your mind.
Urs wrote:We don't have any plans to "rip or sample" anyone's work, but we're checking out all solutions available on the market. We simply wish to add a comprehensive list of great and *compatible* waveform editors to an upcoming product, simply so sound designers can use the best tools available.
So yeah. Chill?

Post

The new export feature of Gladiator 3 exports a WAV file that is the full osc1/2 chain. The exported WAV can be imported into Icarus and probably other audio software as well (I have only tried it out with Icarus, so far).

Maybe he wanted to see how well it works? To see if he could recommend it.
Would be insincere for him to recommend Gladiator and Icarus as possible wave editors for this new product without even testing how well it will work with this new product, no?
Ironically was tone2 eula allowable of what he wanted, he would have advertised gladiator and icarus to u-he products sound designers.

I DID read the whole thread.. and I actually understand it. YOU are the one that is missing the point and jumping to very weird conclusions.

And where exactly does this state that we wish to use the content that comes with those products?

What you dare to insinuate here is beyond belief.

.. and then he proceeded to specify very clearly what he meant by that sentence, which you completely disregarded it seems.

Dude, seriosly. Paranoid much?

If you do not plan to include Gladiator's content why do you ask about copyright?
