kylie wrote: Sun Aug 13, 2023 11:04 am Thanks for considering ! From my point of view it is only changes in the behaviour of certain controls - and you demonstrated well you can do that. I would even go that far to assume it was just forgotten to implement, so the already existing controls are only waiting to get a real function assigned. No Pro features to add to Discovery ;)
Ah, I see what you're getting at. So, more of a tweak than adding full-blown Pro features. Gotcha! Well, I appreciate the vote of confidence in our skills ;) I'll make sure your insights get the attention they deserve. Thanks for clarifying, and keep those suggestions coming!
Could one of those feature tweaks include upgrading the aftertouch to include polyphonic aftertouch?

Hey zerocrossing, thanks for bringing up the topic of polyphonic aftertouch. I understand where you're coming from. However, integrating polyphonic aftertouch isn't just a simple tweak. It would require a significant overhaul of the system. We're considering its potential for the Pro version, but even there it's not a guarantee due to the complexity and niche nature of this feature. I hope this provides some clarity!

Isn’t it just another per voice modulator like an LFO or envelope?

It's not as straightforward as it might seem. Implementing polyphonic aftertouch would mean processing every single voice with a new MIDI processor. Plus, the aftertouch to morph we've got now in Pro is already quite flexible for those who know how to wield it. Sometimes features that seem simple from the outside can be pretty intricate under the hood. As mentioned, it's a niche feature. Coding and integrating these aspects can be complex!

Sadly that makes it worthless to me and it sells for such a low cost that it’s not even worth selling. From here on out I only purchase synths that support the full MIDI spec at a bare minimum. I guess I got my money’s worth from it. I’ve had it since the beginning, I think.

Thanks for the feedback. Implementing poly aftertouch is a bit more complex than it seems, but we understand its importance. We appreciate your longstanding support and will certainly consider your input for future updates.
