I think that the remaining bug fixes have priority. :phew:

They need to hurry because it's a total mess. I can't even use it right now since the latest update.

There is no description of MIDI data generated by 'Generate MIDI' in the manual. What I found is the decay.

MIDI CC
111 SNARE 1 decay
112 SNARE 2 decay
113 CLAP decay
114 CYMBAL 1 decay
115 CYMBAL 2 decay
116 CYMBAL 3 decay
117 CYMBAL 4 decay

I already know that MIDI Modwheel will control all decay times except for the Kick. :)

I guess I´ll be continuing my quest for the perfect drum tool. What I looking for really is something like the evolution features and library, with the GUI and presets from Drum designer.
From your review:
"No "transient" layer for snares or kicks (ex snaps, rims, klicks...)"

Since then (2018) was this feature added?
Also, talking about a snare module, do you want to say, that is doesn't have a sine generator for creating the transients?

No, there hasn’t been a material update since the release. The lack of toms is a major omission as well. Custom samples will probably never be available, at least not with the current version of uvi workstation. There might be a version 2 at some point like they did with beatbox anthology but who knows.

I find it really annoying that I can't demo any of their stuff. I wanted to buy Falcon during their recent sale but I had no way of determining if I even liked it for sure. It feels like such a gamble. I'm interested now in Drum Designer but who knows if it even works the way I imagine it will. I am not into wasting hundreds of dollars. Videos and audio and pretty pictures is not enough to know what you are getting into. Someone else's opinion isn't enough either. They are likely losing out on a lot of money by not having demos. Well that's my rant for a promising LOOKING product that I may never know for myself.

To quote a lot of video reviews, "You might know Falcon but it is because you can't crack it..." So they take the stance that it is better to have their software secure.

Personally I wish they just put their demos out there and not worry about the thieves.

Is using demos how people crack plugins? I would have imagined one would ideally need to use a fully functional registered version.

Companies like U-he don't seem to make a big fuss over such things and they seem to do very well. I know companies that go through a lot of trouble to protect their software usually come with annoyances that affect me, a paying customer. If I have to download some "watchdog" software or buy a dongle just to use a plugin it tends to be my preference not to use it. I won't bother listing the inconveniences that I have experienced...

The less shady people get their hands on the products, the less they end up on crackers hands. Usually people who pay for products are upright and straight people so it is a quite effective method.

With demo versions, they could make keygens and authorize the plugins or find a way to remove the restrictions.

It's on sale right now for - ahem - EUR104. Why wouldn't they just go to 99?! :dog:

Anyway, is it worth getting? I don't have any drum machine / kit VST other than (the awesome!) PunchBox. I do electronic music.

I never really got on with it in truth, and there were bugs that last time I checked still haven't been ironed out - I'd have to dig around to find the one in particular that was a show stopper for me as I can't quite remember now.

I have just bought XLN's XO though, and that's very exciting. In the sale from JRR Shop (using code Facebook 15) thats about 85 bucks, and seems to work very well.
