i've had my retail v1.5 for some time now, its always worked great but maybe some kind soul can try to compile a working v1.6 x32 that runs on XP SP3??

@layzer Yes, that would be really nice. I'm using both XP with 32-bit host and plugins, and W7 with 64-bit host and plugins.

The Modwheel seems to work nicely here without having to use midi learn.
I am using the Surge v1.6.0b3 64-bit VST2 in Live 10 Suite, Windows 10 64-bit and a NI Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk1 as a controller. Still works when using a Korg Wavestation EX as a hardware controller.

Appears to be working fine here in Live 10 Win 10 too.

But man, that GUI is tiny. Kinda dated too, hopefully someone can help make this look and feel a bit more current.

Surge works great on my system (Windows 8.1/64bit/Live 10).
Thanks for making this possible!
I feel an OSC coming up for Surge now that it's gone Open Source.

At the moment i see two things that should be improved IMO:
- bigger GUI
- drop-down menu for wavetables that also includes the sub-folders where the tables are stored

At the moment yu have to flip through all the wavetables wit hteh up/down buttons if you search for a speciaific one which is a bit annoying.

Yes, and yes :tu:

I know this is now open source. Does any kind sould have the will and time to pick this up and do the work? Of course, it would also need a graphic artist (designer) for the GUI. But I think Surge deserves some attention.

Version 1.5 works perfectly in Win 10 with Cubase 9.5. The wavetable folders and subfolders can also be opened.
With Audioterm it was easy to create and import wavetables.

Where can we get version 1.5?

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Just installed. Works great in Reaper on Windows 7.

I'm in love

+1 for bigger GUI!

Sound great! Also, there are a lot of presets.
Only thing it needs is a bigger display.

it can sound much more spacious if you know how to use the reverb and chorus width controls on it.
