Absolute rubbish and nonsense. Dune is far more adept at analog than Hive. It's not even close.
I love Hive but for lush Analog Pads and Filter Sweeps, Dune is light years beyond Hive even at Dune version 2.

true, but osc1 from layer 2 is mod filter freq in layer 2, and osc1 from layer 4 is mod filter freq in layer 4Dasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:06 pm well, it's a multi patch, and each of the 8 engines are a part. that's the way i learned it. they are multi parts.
anyhoo... i like to use osc modulation on filter cut off. if i use oscillator 1 as a modulation source... and then assign it filter cutoff of parts 2+4 only... it won't modulate filter cutoff of part 1 and 3.
The Memorymoon synths are good at such brass sounds, and much cheaper.Dasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:25 pm well, you guys can have at the hive vs dune debate. i'm not up for it right now. i can tell you i'm not getting those brassy warm cs sounds or the cinematic string sounds out of dune yet that i get out of hive automatically. i'd like to get to a point where i can move on from hive tho. i simply have too much on my hard drive to put time to it all atm.
That's not Dune's fault. PEBKAC........Dasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:25 pm i can tell you i'm not getting those brassy warm cs sounds or the cinematic string sounds out of dune yet that i get out of hive automatically.
