I think ValhallaDSP should make a $50 “Supermassive Pro” reverberator. Same code has Valhalla Supermassive, same sound, same algorithms, same parameters, etc. However, this “pro” plugin will be a VST3 plugin.
I would buy it, and the computer I use in my recording studio to run plugins can’t even run VST3 plugins (it’s a 2007 laptop without any networking running 32-bit Windows 7 connected to a Focusrite 2i4 gen2 attached to the Aux send of my mixer).

It is worth noting that VSM has remarkably very low cpu usage, particularly in the modes Lyra & Capricorn, among the lowest I've seen among reverb type effects (the other being Melda MCharmVerb with Complexity set to 4 or lower and both Dampings off (also MTurboReverb with similar settings with algo R or RD).

This little gem works wonders on a number of sources....
I put it on some orchestral strings and it really gave them a lovely "smear"...
I don't really think of it as a reverb though...
More like a spatial enhancer with a ton of magic built in

Hmmm, listening to your ambient music.jon wrote: Wed May 20, 2020 9:35 pm I was excited to test this, but unfortunately VSM falls somewhere between Lagrange and Diffuse, and does neither style as well. Or tbh even sound as good. Anyway, freebies are always cool and welcome so thanks Valhalla, this one didn't quite make the cut.
I can see where you come from. I get a definite Klautrock vibe in this ambient track you did, and I can see why Supermassive would not work with this kind of sound (it’s a little too clean and pure for that vibe). Excellent ambient music, by the way.
