Well yeah... as it is spectral, I'm guessing it splits the audio into hundreds of bands or something, and levels each band independently, so if that's what you're looking for, have at it.
But it's not gonna work as a standard comp.
Honestly, I'd say, if you can't explain what you need it for, then you probably don't need it?

The only time I ever found myself reaching for it, is when I have a really wild and exotic sound coming from a synth / fx combo, and I just want to normalize the overall tone, but actually, I don't think I've ever been happy with the results, as I usually just switch it off again.
Maybe just me, using it on the wrong things though
