planetearth wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 6:29 pm Just stumbled across this and checked out the site. It looks like this is taking shape and could be very useful by Black Friday, but please, please, for the love of All Things Good and Pure, would you PLEASE denote dollar amounts properly? They should be "$5", "$10", etc., not the "5$" or "10$" as shown at the top of the page. They're wrong at the very top ("Deals under 5$" and just below the search area.)

The dollar amounts are denoted properly where it appears you're actually pulling data from other sites. Other than that, this looks quite professional and useful, thanks!

Fixed now :)
Thanks!

I'm building an automated platform that lists all music software deals in one place (with price history)....

You can't do this if the website don't show the deal. Several developers say: log in and see your price!. Arturia, Native Instruments, etc...

Sure there are some websites which have unique prices for some products, but 95% of prices are viewable to public / not unique or based on your purchases. We will obviously not be able to get everything, but we try to have as many as is possible (25 stores total so far)

We've just added a couple more quick search options. Now there are the following quick searches:

- Free
- Under $5
- Under $10
- Latest deals (all active deals sorted from newest to oldest)
- Over 70% off
- Kontakt Player deals
- Reverb plugin deals
- Synth plugin deals

We've accurately categorised a large majority of the 16k products in the database now so you should see this reflected in the search results :)

How about adding a OS Platform filter and an architecture filter for those using Linux/Windows/OSX or Intel/ARM/M1/M2?

To be honest it would be far too much work to add that level of detail for every single one of the 16k products in the database. We do already filter by type (effect or instrument) as well as multiple sub categories within those

How about instead of architecture, just the OS filter? That's the most important part for me, since there aren't many Linux options, and it would make things so much easier.

Even that would be pretty difficult and not really viable to be honest. Unless you fancy tagging the 16k products for us? :D

Today we added further filtering options to make your search results and the products you see listed more accurate. These new options are in the "More Options" dropdown and allow you to show/hide the following product types from search results:

- Upgrade/crossgrade versions

- Educational versions

- Presets/expansion packs

- Bundles

- Sample packs

By default these will all be unticked so products that are in these categories are hidden from search results. This should help declutter search results and help you see exactly what you want to see.

We've just added much requested feedback for being able to exclude specific manufacturers, categories and stores from your search results.

If you click on the "More Options" link below your search results, you'll see the new functionality there

So now you can get really focused results by including/excluding:

- Bundles
- Upgrades
- Educational versions
- Presets/expansion packs
- Sample packs
- Specific stores
- Specific manufacturers
- Specific categories (like instruments, FX, compressors, reverbs etc.)

Once you've setup your filters, you'll see the URL will update with the new filtering results - just save that URL and whenever you come back to it again it will still have the same filters.

There's been quite a few updates since we last posted here. The website has really started to take off now - here are some of the latest updates:

- We've added quick buttons to the Popular stores so you can search them immediately

- We've improved the search so once you start typing, it will give you suggested terms based on your text

- Based on a lot of requests and feedback, we've now added the "Table" view button which lets you see the results / latest deals in one single table. For example, view all of the Plugin Boutique latest deals in a table

Lots more updates too. Feel free to check it out!

We had some feedback regarding the user price alerts page so made some improvements based on the suggestions. In particular:

1. It shows if the product is on sale or not at a glance (fire/ice emoji)

2. If the product is on sale, it will show you the sale price

Just a few small changes that improve the user experience so you need to click less!
