I downloaded the manual, but it didn't seem to answer this question: Does TAL-DRUM's sample browser allow in-kit preview? (Like if you're playing a MIDI drum part live, can you hear what a selected sample sounds like in a selected pad without altering the kit?)
That one feature is the only reason I still use Battery 3; it's the only drum sampler I know of that lets you non-destructively audition samples in a live kit. (They removed this ability- and several others- in Battery 4.)

The "REPLACE" button allows you to do something similar but it seems to be destructive.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Feature request submitted to support for this one - it really does slow things down having to replicate settings between mappings.neverbeeninariot wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:34 pmYeah, I was thinking along similar lines earlier, though I might prefer to have an "Edit All" button so that editing one mapping, edits the four of them (pad level), or the ability to select multiple mappings at a time for editing. It would definitely speed things up.sQeetz wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:27 pm So... I have a drum loop and chopped it up, assigned slices to pads and would now like to add some LO-FI dirt afterwards. But I have to manually do it for every single pad...
It would be nice if there was a copy/paste function in the FX section.![]()

But I would also like to have it across pads. Maybe some sort of "lock FX to sample" option.
I will have a look at the mappings. Maybe I can do the same there"
@sQeetz - I'm not sure that the Pad selection will allow you to change FX across all pads (as you were asking above), because they are at the Mapping level, but this all sounds very promising : )

Full changelog for latest beta
Version 0.9.60 / 16.03.2022
- Multi-selection of Pads with CTRL allows changing all pad parameters, text, and color for the selected Pads
- Multi-selection of Mappings inside the Pad with CTRL (replicates all changing parameters to the selected mappings does not affect spline editor and slicing)
- CTRL and click on Pad S (solo button on the bottom) disables all other solo pads
- Sample name lock added in the menu (this allows dragging pads around without moving the pad name)
- Always select pad 1 when switching 16/32 view
- Right-click closes the color dialog
- Remember Kit or Sample view when closing UI
I'm blown away by the speed of the response and updates by Patrick once again. The multi-selection options here should really speed up the workflow. Thanks TAL ! : )

Anyone else experiencing clicks when using low end thumpy kicks or 808s in Tal Drum?
Heres an example. Atlas is used first then Tal Drum. Both same volume no clipping on any of the tracks.

@chili beans
Yes, experienced it too. You can workaround this by switching the voice from 1 voice to 2 voices. It´s not optimal making them polyphonic... but the clicks are gone.

I realise it's very uncool to read manuals, but if you did you might just see this:
"VOICE GROUP: You can select a voice group for the pad and set a sample fade-out
time for the voice stealing. The fade out time will introduce a delay for the next sound
when voice stealing happens (the delay is exact the fade-out time).
You may set this value to zero for most sounds. It’s helpful to increase this value to
avoid clicks for bass or kick samples when you don’t want that they overlap and play
always only one voice."

If you could submit a bug report to TAL support, that would help fix the bugs : )Caine123 wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 12:46 am hmmm will wait for v1.0 seems to still misses some stuff and buggy. i love tal stuff.
If not, can you say what's buggy and missing? I don't mind submitting requests/bug info (if I can verify them).
