Regarding: https://sonicstate.com/news/2022/10/13/ ... a-cooking/

Maybe a new updated version of Arturia Origin https://www.arturia.com/products/hardwa ... in-desktop
that comes loaded with ALL their synth emulations, physical modeling and effects.

And it is also a drum machine, sampler and sequencer… :hihi:

I'd buy something like that over a Maschine Plus/MPC/Deluge etc. any day.

My best guess for the announcement is the Synthex-V

Honestly there are not that many synths I would be super-hyped to see in software form...
These might be interesting (we need to ignore copyright for some of these ofc):
Moog Memorymoog
RMI Harmonic Synthesizer
Roland Jupiter 4, JD-800, JP-8000, JV 1080, JX10, V-Synth /GT
Yamaha CS1X, RM1X, SY77/99
B.Toys Meowsic Catpiano
But I would be more interested in them updating their 2600-V and Emulator-V so that the latter can import the original Emulator I-III presets - that would be great. Or update Spark.

But now a total coincidence regarding the announcement (espescially because the production period of the Synthex differs from source to source, so I used the one by vintagesynth.com because it worked for this):
The announcement is on 18.10.'22. Let's take the production period from the Elka Synthex. It was from 1981 to 1984 (src: https://www.vintagesynth.com/elka/elkasyn.php). Let's start with 1984. If we add all the numbers (1+9+8+4) we get 22. From 1981 we add the 1 and the 9 and get 10, commit a continuity error and flip the 81 to get 18, 10 and 22.

The continuity error could perhaps be solved if you include a logic like the following: Add 4 numbers together, then 2, then none.

I am 99% sure that this is just a pure coincidence but my severely damaged brain has programmed itself to see these patterns everywhere. Help me. :hihi:

Livestream is going on now. New Augmented Grand Piano so far. And it looks like KVR's sidebar just leaked the MiniFreak, lol.

(Edit: The piano uses samples, which surprises me given that they have their own piano software of course)

MiniFreak V also leaked (Microfreak as a VST!)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Minifreak is a new hardware synth. Where is it described as a soft synth?

"MiniFreak V" - available for MiniFreak owners only... :(

"MiniFreak V
MiniFreak comes with a dedicated VST counterpart, letting users totally integrate its unique hybrid sound and presets into their DAW productions and vice versa. Using identical sound engines, modeled filters, presets, and totally synchronized controls, users can enjoy an identical experience in hardware or software form."

I had to take the dog out on an ill-timed walk, so I didn't catch this part of the livestream and don't know if you have to have the hardware synth to have access to the software version. Of course the hardware synth still has analog filters so I guess it won't be precisely an identical port, if one cares for such things.

I think it will eventually be in the V Collection.
Probably not for a while though.

The product page says "included with the instrument for free".
It didn't necessarily hint at exclusivity for hardware owners, actually quite the opposite, suggesting it's not going to be free for everyone else.

If, as it seems, they created an actual plugin counterpart with the modelled analog filter (not just an interface to control the hardware), it would be weird not to sell it, at least at some point.

Yeah, one would think.

Still, $600 for the hardware version seems reasonable to me, but I really don't have space for it in this apartment, and my Microfreak doesn't see anywhere near the use it deserves. Alas.

Not seeing it in my account, i own a MikroFreak... Are you sure?

I own PolyBrute too that comes with a VST plugin but its an editor not a VST instrument, are you sure that's not the case with this?

If you copy/paste the link - it's the Minifreak V, but I don't know how to post .mp4's. :(

Maybe someone else can post it direct. Some of it reminds me of Pigments.
