Reaper has a native JSFX plugin that does this:
Stereo Channel Volume/Pan/Polarity Control
but of course this is no different than using some 3rd party plugin, other than that this one is guaranteed to come free with your DAW

As someone that just upgraded to Cubase 12 from 4, but has used Studio One 5 for a couple of recent collaborations:
Assigning "last touched parameter" of a VST to a knob on my MIDI controller is just the greatest thing. I'm often only recording automation for one parameter at a time, so it's just so easy to click on something on the VST, and then just click on the button that will assign it to my MIDI controller. Cubase still has me scrolling through a list of parameters, which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it is a lot more cumbersome.
On a similar note, all of the nested menus in the Inspector panel - Cubase 12 Inspector is actually more cumbersome to navigate than 4. There are even a few menus that collapse if you click elsewhere, even though they're not supposed to - I discovered that this is a bug that has persisted for years!
And finally, having separate keyboard commands for undoing something in the mixer/track panel and in the editor/VST panel. In Studio One, it's all just Ctrl-Z; you just undo the last thing you did! I'm sure there is some practical reason why it works this way in Cubase (I guess so you can undo mixer changes after making MIDI changes), but it's not how a human brain works; how often do you think anything other than "I want to undo the last thing I did"?

REAPER is missing proper articulation and MPE support in the MIDI editor. Something can be done through external scripts and tools, but I don't see why it should not be natively integrated...

maybe other DAWs are having this too, but Reaper is missing something i've just recently spotted for the first time when i was watching some YT video of someone using Logic:
basically copy/paste A/B comparison functionality integrated inside each plugin header.
there are supposedly some scripts allowing this too, but it's sadly not there straight from the factory

Is it logical to state that Mac has no Logic?

no, just my particular system(s) are devoid of any Logic.
(and so is their operator
)
ok, not entirely true, as they have some basic Logic to them in the form of GarageBand (which i hate - and actually find illogical and quite cumbersome to use)

When using Windows and you hover the mouse pointer to the left side of the tab on the browser when wanting to close it, then you know you've been fully assimilated.

(just in case, the one about Windows wasn't all that serious either)
