There was nothing about Minimonsta 2 on their products page before yesterday, although there was a video tutorial about it on their YouTube channel. I actually went there from the JRR Shop link, then went to read more about it to Gforce software website but found only the old Minimonsta there. Maybe they haven't renewed their website yet at the time I visited it.

Yeah the demo was on the product page since they launched. You may have missed it or your browser didnt render it properly.

Did you buy it from GForce? There was a giveaway a few years ago from Ohmforce.
I got Minimonsta for free at that time, and I don't have a reduced price upgrade.
When I load it up, it says 'Ohm Force Plug-in' at the very top left.
Maybe that has something to do with it.

That sounds like it. They are tracking give-aways to differentiate from those that paid for MM1. Ah well. 50- is a good price anyway.

Not necessarily. When they say "Minimonsta1" in the email they are referring to paid licenses, not free ones. Not calling this out is a minor over-sight. But if it pisses you off, email them and plead your case. You might just get an update. But go in with no expectations because afterall, you did get MM1 for free.

Have you emailed them? I had a similar issue so they sent me a code for the MM1 upgrade price.

To defend GForce, i have to say they replied to my support ticket just as quickly as usual.
Nice company. And if they somehow manage to build a quicker website, that't would be even better.

You don't buy minimal nsta because you're looking for the most accurate minimoog emulation. It never really sounded like anything other than "minimoog inspired". You buy it because it sounds weird and interesting in it's own unique way. When it came out is irrelevant. The Minikorg plugin with a VA sound engine over 20 years old sounds amazing.

in the email, they said there's an issue with a database call going round and round. i think it's more likely to be caching issue: a quick look under the hood shows they're running Wordpress. this works great with a cache where you don't have a lot of users logged in (and the site does seem to work reasonably well until you log in). once you get a lot of logins to download and buy stuff, performance goes to shit real fast if you're not careful. optimising a cache for wordpress and the PHP it runs on is a bit of an art, and it's one they probably haven't cracked yet.
