They did a good job on this one.
At times I wish Mimeophon was more symmetrically laid out, but like here, I know that means more hp.

That’s what I’m hoping for!!

I wonder if we’ll see more telharmonics on the 2nd hand market. I know they’re not the same but I could see someone thinking they wouldn’t need both.

hard to say yet, as foosnark pointed out, the tele stuff, may have been something playing through this as an effect? could just as easily be the oscillator section, so yes then id imagine some will go that route, take back the space by getting rid of something that sounds similar.

i kinda think id have preferred a separate fx and oscillator. im not really looking for more sound generation, more processing and control now.

although, the 4ms sampler has me thinking, 4gb sample playback (per sample, not total card :o ) kinda kicks the arse of morphagene, and the faux granular and loop points do give it some interesting playback options too 8)

And of course I’m considering being reckless, selling first and preordering.

I still want to see more content than the demo. I wasn’t impressed by the performance but between the teasers and various sound in moments of the performance, I think I could get along with this.
I agree the "performance" was lack luster, but there were certainly moments where it sounded cool. Not must-have cool (thus far), but cool. The forthcoming James Cigler 101 video will be the big reveal, as he is brilliant. :tu:

Yeah, I am super looking forward to James Cigler's video. And Sarah Belle Reid's for that matter.

One tidbit from that Sonic State video that grabbed me: it's real-time, no latency. I assume witchcraft or tachyons are involved somehow.

I don't think this one got shared yet... some good info in here. https://www.perfectcircuit.com/signal/m ... n-overview

I would love the this.

I probably need to stop watching videos of it.

You’re $1 over!

Post

Heh, I suppose so. :) At least Tom will make some money from it, big fan of Tom, not overly the rest tho. Happy for all the fans here still. :tu:

$600 seems totally reasonable for a flagship dual oscillator and I was fearing it'd be more like $800. DPO is also $600 new and it's how many years old now? Furthrrrr is $780, Vortex is $690, Verbos is $670, Cs-L is $650, etc.
