And FunkyBot's evil twin should be happy that there is an option to move the kick drum to either the top or the bottom of the sequencer

Unfortunately no. We're gonna add possibility of folding sections (Synth, FX, Seq) in future versions.Vortifex wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 1:38 pm Is there a way to play patterns without having the pattern window open?
ATM no pattern editor means External mode.

I own Nepheton, but switched to Roland Cloud tr-808 for its polymetric sequencer.
As Nepheton2's sequencer seems to lack variable track length, I wonder: is there any reason for me to upgrade?
Whereas Roland Cloud tr-808 is an all-in-one solution, I'd have to use Nepheton2 in tandem with e.g. Sugarbytes Drumcomputer to properly sequence it.
D16 could easily outperform Roland in the sequencer department: I don't consider Roland Cloud tr-808's sequencer feature complete either.
D16, if you're listening:
Things I value most in a drum sequencer:
- variable track length (polymetric rhythms)
- step probability (preferably including some logic, e.g. "if note x is played, don't play note y in this iteration of the pattern")
- other per step settings/effects (pitch, MIDI cc...)
- (per track) note divisions, dotted notes...
- probabilistic pattern chaining

It allows you to have a send to an external audio bus on each slice.
So you can receive the audio from the bus on a separate track in your daw and put effects on it.
There are two buses you can use and have different send levels per slice. Very useful.

That does make me happy. Kick on top is an absolute abomination.zvenx wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 1:26 pm And FunkyBot's evil twin should be happy that there is an option to move the kick drum to either the top or the bottom of the sequencer

I bought it but won't get to check it out until after work. If anything, I'm basically spending $29 to get it working on my Mac. I've got the Behringer RD-8 MK II here and truly do love the sonics of it.

Bought Nepheton on Black Friday for $49 hoping to get an upgrade discount, instead I got a free upgrade to Nepheton 2 because of the grace period. Sweet!
