The new volt effect is great fun and expands the sonic palette in interesting ways.
I do find that more that the other effects Volt is more dependent on being part of a chain of effects than the other nodes.
It’s quite nasty sounding on its own but can be easily tamed using the convolution and/or filter nodes. It does add a very different character to the sound.
I have been using it to add grit to the output of a delay and then sending that through a speaker IR.
I think that the feedback module could benefit from its own modulator like the convolution node has. You can get some very nice modulated sounds by modulating the parameters.
Come to think of it I think just adding more global mod sources would probably be a better option. As the plug-in expands so does the need for more mod sources, imho.

Beam is a nice effect, I don't think it's unique and certainly rivaled by others as an output portal.
After a good month of use I can say I haven't had any big problems, maybe once a Renoise crash but
this tracker is no longer updated and some plug-ins have bugs in it.
A second macro button would be useful, it's difficult to stack many effects and manage to keep
control over the entire effect without the sound produced being messy unless of course it's desired.
The time addon adds depth to the use of beam, this audio buffer effect is versatile.
Audio buffer effects that loop sounds tend to produce a click, to compensate for this a micro fade out
(or crossfade) is applied, here we hear a click.
To answer the editor lunacy audio, I understood the product proposal, if you develop this proposal
with addons that will subsequently be autonomous, it is logical that I ask the question of the total
cost of the whole.

Have you considered that depending on the success of these add ons, they may choose to develop more or not? They may also change the pricing to adapt to market conditions.
It’s probably a fruitless line of questioning to determine (possibly years in advance) what the end price will be for an as of yet undetermined product line

I think Grodada has a legitimate concern. This week, for $99 I could get the full bundle, but I started with Beam when it first came out, and added each part of the bundle individually, which now has cost me around $150 total. So being an early adopter cost me more than if I'd waited.
I'm not complaining and I really like the product. I got discounts on Time and Volt and I feel that they are reasonably priced for what they offer.
There are lots of different pricing variations out there, and sometimes it might seem like people are pulling a fast one. I get it, but I'm still a Lunacy fan.

I don't see this being much different than something like Shaperbox in regard to paid effect additions. Presets on the other hand are not something I am in the habit of buying save a set or two from u-he. Of course, I can't see not owning all the available effects, via bundle upgrades or something.
I have not tried Beam, which leads to my biggest problem with it, being a lack of a demo. That said it looks cool and I am considering buying the bundle. Though there is a good chance I'll skip it with no demo. I do understand the refund thing, but generally, that is not enough for me since I consider requesting a refund a hassle.

As I said, I had already bought all the expansions and presets. My loyalty offer was to upgrade to the full bundle for $19, which effectively gave me Volt for $19. I'm not sure what other discounts might be if I had owned less.

I specify once again, my question was not a provocation just a clarification of the offer.
It has become complicated sometimes to understand the different offers of the market, especially when it evolves.
For shaperbox (and soundtoy) there were first individual effects then they were grouped together.
Moreover, the shaperbox offer is also difficult to undertake for those like me who started with the individual effects, who have updated.
A view of the mind is to say that we never see the end of our purchase.

Feature requests:
1. a slice crossfade setting or a snap-to-zero-crossing button for the time node so any pops and clicks can be removed.
2. more global mod sources

If less is more, imagine how much more MORE will be.

A lot of these modular effects systems are money pits, make no mistake. They want you
to keep playing indefinitely if they can arrange it. Just par for the course imo.

I thought that was part of what a business is supposed to do. *head scratch*pekbro wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 7:54 pm A lot of these modular effects systems are money pits, make no mistake. They want you

Just don't buy what you don't want or need. No need to whine publicly about it. We get it.

So I went ahead and bought the bundle, pretty neat. FYI: Lunacy doesn't support PP 4 pay currently,
and of course the full bundle is not available RTO. Anyway, you can buy it with 4pay at Plugin Boutique,
the Caveat being you lose your refund option (from lunacy at least).

It's a great plugin. Definitely needs more mods/macros to go with the expanding node system but there's a huge range possible with all the various nodes.
Also looking forward to the standalone versions of the nodes.
I hope they make the Grain/delay node standalone. It's fantastic in and of itself.
