How much of a difference does a high-end audio interface really make?

I always work at 24Khz/41 bit.

Take the hearing test.

I'm 65 and have suffered some hearing loss in my left ear. I cannot hear 15,000 Hz having the speakers cranked after listening to it over and over again now I'm suffering from slight tinnitus

With regards to the original topic...
What's more important to me is how is it as a line mixer. I've been using Zoom Live Trak L8 for some time now but I find the UI ungodly to deep dive. If you want to access the deeper level of feature sets you have a very very small screen and practically dos level page up page down to access those features.
As a result while I'm not a fan of boss per say I might be upgrading to a gigcaster 8

You are definitely mixing some things up here bro. It is also not even clear, if you are referring to internal processing or converters. Like all over the place.

I watched video of mastering engineer switching between 2000$ dacs saying he can hear difference, he had like 3 dacs he tests the sound on, so higher converters should make a difference right? Or is this just placebo from him, I couldnt tell from youtube I tried hard to hear differences, also watched another youtube video where they compared 10,000$ dac to 100$ interface, he provided raw audio files, he said you can hear the "transient" and more "3d width" on the more expensive , but I couldn't hear it I tried a/bing in metricab abunch so dunno lol

Man I love DACs, high end, older 96kHz ones, or even very old, like this one.

The DX7 is great for annoying FM purists too, as they tend to love it but it was actually phase modulation internally. Just like many modern soft synths.
