Nice :tu:
I managed to fix most of my issues after i managed to break everything :)

Managed to repair my broken wine install too so now i can see all my plugins again like it was before i installed to many dxvk and VC Redist that broke it all :)
The script above only lists the reverse dependents of installed packages, which is not default behavior (for APT at least). I am not even saying it is helpful or useful to "make music", just that it does something that should have already been done somewhere :P

The default behavior of rdepends is to list ALL packages, even if they are not installed. The script filters to installed packages.
Ah. My reply made it looks like your script fixed it but that is not what i meant

I took a step back and let the frustration go away and started to focus on why it happened and then i started repairing it bit by bit.
I purged Wine and Rebuilt it and repaired the lib Binaries that gave out errors when i tried to install a app and re-installed and repaired the things i broke and also changed a few things that annoyed me that wanted to fix for a while now.

I also changed the Kernel to XanMod since i find it to work better on my system compared to the Liquorix Kernel when playing steam games and my system is also tuned for low latency audio work so everything is smooth as butter now :tu:

So now i have written the USB Installer/live usb .Iso to my 3 USB Sticks for backup so all my Music programs/vst's and games are ready for use if a re-install is needed in the future.

Got a second machine set up with Ubuntu/Studio and couldnt be more happy. Everything is actually there, just might be some different tools we are used to. Yet, we are also seeing more and more developers providing native Linux versions and there will be some nice surprises in near future too. For now, I am quite happy with the new version of Renoise and a bundle of ToneBoosters, Kazrog, Audio Damage, Audio Thing, HY Plugins, Plogue, TAL Audio, U-He, Sinevibes, Tracktion... just to name a few.

I've been building PCs/DAWs since forever. Aside from a rare hurdle here or there I can make it a workhorse that remains a workhorse until one throws it away.

Windows 11 will be fine. Your mobo likely is Win11 ready anyway.
However, many might want to wait until the next release and continue with Win 10 a bit more.
I know folks still choosing to stay Win 7 and XP (mainly for DAW hardware reasons).

Apple has never and will never see a dime from me. Overpriced hardware packaged in proprietary, geared for those that need to be lead.
