Igro wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 11:37 am Nice! Basically you can now have only two Drumsynths - BabyAudio TEKNO and Attack 3. Former for that analog vibe and the latter for that digital feel. Both are very CPU friendly synths.
Battalion beats them both 😛
Battalion is good by features, but i passed it exactly because wild cpu eating, very uninspiting feel. Although i tried it at release stage only, idk maybe this was improved later.
They did significantly improve the CPU usage since release! Worth another try

Hm ok tnx will check.

Attack and Attack 3 are so close in identical features, I'm surprised they didn't make it possible for Attack 3 to load Attack user presets.

Ok, this is actually a really great update in every way. Too bad I missed the -50% upgrade discount. Running in demo trial mode (26 days remaining)... could you Waldorf run another sale campaign within that time period, please?

Post

I bought the upgrade during the sale and didn't really pay attention to it.

I thought the original was okay but kind of convoluted and felt very dated.

Now that I've had some time with this I think this is fantastic. The UI makes everything so much easier to use. It basically has everything that you'd need in a oneshot drum synth and it's never overwhelming or convoluted.

Post

Exactly, the old version sounded good, but the UI was worse and it was a crashfest. Now the possibility to use own samples is a great addition, and insert fx for every sound is also nice.

Thanks, I saw that also. But I just bought Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas plugin while it was on sale, and I already have Beatsurfing Random Metal so my drum synths are covered, for now. :phones:

Post

I thought about this since it's on sale for only $29. But, you know, I already have Battalio, Tekno, AIR DrumSynth, Inear Display Ephemere, and even Logic Pro's own Drum Synth. So, it seems just beyond superfluous.

It's a great no brainer upgrade to a great drum synth. :tu:

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I can't figure out how to download the demo version. So, I have to create an account, login, put the demo version in the shopping cart, check out, download the pdf with the download link, open the pdf and click on the link to the nextcloud page, then I find no files there. Am I doing this wrong?

Personally, I prefer not having to go through too many steps just to demo something. Terrible experience so far, lol.

Don't demo, just buy.
Demo is for boomers.

Doomers don't demo

Being a Boomer I just had to demo it, and after waiting a few hours the files were there at the given address. A3 sounds good and is very easy to use. I like it so far.
