I would like to hear a demo of this if you dont mind?TechHaus wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 12:19 am Pianoteq seems to be top tier going by this thread.
I don't really have any pianos except Numa player on my linux, but I installed a few freebies from buying interfaces like XLN studio grand and upright on my Mac. Obviously Pianoteq offers a lot more than these.
But I also just create piano-esque keys in Hive 2 for the most part. I have to see what the PIanoteq magic is all about.
If You can only keep Four VST Synths You have. Which Ones ?

Actually for me it would be just 3:
Omnisphere 3
Kontakt
Serum 2
Honerable mentions: Vital and Reaktor
Right now it's just these 3 (and ocasionally Vital & Reaktor), some SSD5/ujam or Logic stock drums, some selfplayed guitar and bass and vocal in every song I produce and write.
Allthough I'm trying to get my hands on a used copy of Keyscape to expand Omnisphere even further.

These threads are kind of "did I already answer?" but here goes:
Omnisphere
Diva
Huh, theres space for two more still? Umm, I don't have them, but maybe Hive/Serum 2 and Repro5/Proxima if I had.

It's often the 4th or 5th choice I find hard with these kinds of lists.. But I guess:
Zebra 2/3
Tranzistow
Falcon
Then I'd say Kontakt, but if strictly a synth then probable OB-E from G-Force.

The obvious question is "why?" I was expecting something impressive, this sounds like the kind of mindless noodling I did on my SH1000 in 1982, when I first bought it and had no f**king idea what I was doing. And to be clear, the SH1000 was apiece of shit.

Mike liked it and put it on the demos page.. https://www.admiralquality.com/poly-ana-demos/ It's not meant to be a song yes its just noodling to demo the FX version of PA- fun to play the FX on the keyboard!!BONES wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 4:09 amThe obvious question is "why?" Yeah but the thing is it's an unimpressive demo of fairly ordinary sounds, not something likely to have everyone flocking to the site to download it. It sounds fine, it's not terrible at all, I suppose I was expecting something a bit more impressive is all.

For Playing Live music
Omnisphere
Keyscape
UAD Waterfall
Triton Extreme
For studio work I think I would have a different roundup though.
