Never mind thinking about the plug that you are thinking about working on apart from the plug that you are working on, I reckon if you finish the plug that you are working on apart from the plug that you are working on then you are aready in with a shout..!sonicfire wrote:i think this sounds really good this way, tuz.

I think I'll start a developer sign up sheet here in this forum. I would do it here in this thread, but it seems better to start a new thread where devs could say whether they'd join in or not. I'll repost the rules in the new thread. seems more appropriate to post it in the dsp forum I know, but I posted it here earlier because I thought it would get more attention. sorry.

so what do you think people? we have two superb candidates here. sonicfire and krakli....
can we make it happen? I might have a third surprise candidate
hopefully. 80 percent of us would donate for this cause, not bad. I hoped it to be around 90 but hey this is good, too. but don't forget it's not just about the money. we owe it to the devs. by the way who could hold the money for this comp. I would suggest a mod or something who has a paypal account and won't run away with the money.

pHz is the obvious choice, I agree.

Keep in mind that with large numbers of relatively small donations, there is an issue with the typical e-payment schemes: they'll eat up a lot of the donation in service charges.
Anyone know a way around that?

My ass is being whipped elsewhere at the mo, but just to say all the power to you my bro-bro and all the developers that join in. I think it's really an exciting and hopefully rewarding venture 'above and beyond' for many.

You're correct. That would mean that there would be TWO service charges; the one into the holer's account & the one from the holder to the winner..Markleford wrote:Keep in mind that with large numbers of relatively small donations, there is an issue with the typical e-payment schemes: they'll eat up a lot of the donation in service charges.
