Any chance of a mac os9 version. (I know ....it will never happen but i wish it would)
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I'll try to say it gentler than Braj: the chances of a OS9 version are, unfortunately, slim.

Thank you for pre-ordering!Just pre-ordered!
Yes, we are a customer-driven company. However, we will have to schedule and prioritize to keep the price down for future versions (and ensure hefty discounts for existing users).I would really love to see more dance orientated rhythms.

Snare rolls, flams, fx, 8-16 bar build-ups etc.
Maybe not all at once but in the future.

Ah! Got it now. Pretty cool. EVerytime I change kits in DR008 I have to reload Jamstix though, which gets old. Guess the full blown version wouldn't have that problem. What is the advantage, if any, of running your drum module inside of JS rather than behind it?What I suggested was putting DR-008 inside of Jamstix using the External VSTi switch in the mapping tab of Jamstix.
Thanks again for your help Ralph. I'll play with this somemore...

How about the "Basstix" ?
(Wao, that name is worth a free version of it!)
I know its a bit early to ask,
but I tried with that boaring "Broomstick" bass demo.
Now I wonder how your bass player will turn out.
I hope it wount be a "show of" kind of player,
that is soloing while jamming all the time.
Anyway, can't wait to see that thing happen !

Just use the SAVE button in the mappings tab. They store a whole setup including the internal settings of DR-008 in a file that you can then recall just by clicking LOAD (don't even have to click the External VSTi switch)Reqs wrote: EVerytime I change kits in DR008 I have to reload Jamstix though, which gets old. Some hosts, such as Sonar, cannot (easily) route MIDI out from a VSTi to another as can be done in Tracktion. That's where this becomes very handy. Also, the LOAD and SAVE buttons I mentioned earlier make it very easy to switch between drum modules retaining all settings inside of Jamstix and the loaded VSTi.What is the advantage, if any, of running your drum module inside of JS rather than behind it?

The name is "JamBace"Midiworks wrote:How about the "Basstix" ?

It will have an approach as innovative as Jamstix and generate new bass lines on-the-fly. We will let you know more as we progress with its implementation.
It will also synch (controllable) with Jamstix if it is running...

edit: just tried the new demo, which is much improved. Thanks for the quick update. Also, I think the video demo's and tutorials are perfectly professional -- as good as anything else out there anyway (thought they go through subjects very fast).

Yes, in order to keep the size down we had to race through some things unfortunately.(thought they go through subjects very fast).

You could have have learned from before....We have just updated the downloads to the new version 0.99G. We apologize if you were in the middle of a download and it was interrupted. Please download the new files below
My sugestion is:
1. Add the version number to the files.
2. Leave at least the big OLDer version there for a few days.
There is nothing more frustrating that a big 82mb download on dial up,
that stops at 91% and is lost !
This means, at 10mb/hour 7 hours download lost...
Many providers charge a minute price,
so downloading the big demo costs around 8% of
pre-order price.
You should keep these factors in mind.

Yep, should have noted that I tried that, same problem. I did get JS to play, and it seems like a pretty cool idea. This reload issue is just making things too hard for me (and it also stopped working at all for me in an existing project in Tracktion-had to use an entirely new project to get it to work. I suppose this could be a Tracktion issue though). Guess I should have D/Led the samples version. I'll definitely look at this down the road though, but for now my $99 is going for impOSCar. Thanks for all your help though Ralph, your (pre)customer service is great!

Aawww man, this thing is dazzlingly superior to anything out there at the moment(on the vst front leastways).Just been messing about with the "Can't Stop" Red Hot Chilis riff and Jamstix' keyword rythms and its like having sex, getting drunk and having your favorite curry, all at the same time.
I didn't think Stylus RMX was going to be ousted out of pole position in my studio quite so soon.

Jamstix is really very nice and your support outstanding !
Small Version 99G, strange list/bug list
So here I go:
1.) Transport can not be set to zero.
(you dont want users to click 999x the left < or ?)
Add double click into the "bar" field for manual entry.
2.) You should add a complete transport control.
3.) Jamstix should not start to play by default only after hitting play.
4.) Add a PLAY-LOOP function (from bar xxx to bar xxx)
5.) "Jam with audio", the slider sets itself to zero after some time and after a click on it jumps back to zero...
When there is NO audio/midi input Jamstix should also stop jamming after a few bars.
The timing slips more and more out of sync,
the longer Jamstix is running.
Untill it is totaly off time.
6.) "Mapping", the button intern/extern is not animating correctly.
It looks always like it is set to intern.
Actually that happends with all those swtches,
after changing pages they show 'up'.
7.) "Metronome" can not set/send to 'external'.
(add a midi click metronme with user defined midi note number)
8.) A mute for cymbals is missing badly,
maybe also the possibility to change the out going
midi note numbers, this should be possible to be set by the user.
9.) "Output", as I wrote before, your slider ranges are set quite badly.
The mixer is the best exemple.
It can reach the "red" mark easily with your (low) standard settings,
while the fader should be at last up to the the "yellow" mark (or at 0db) to reach that level !
10.) Please get the slider ranges right.
The slider ranges of the Jam Control could be user-defineable too.
11.) A kind of "midi-mixer", that globaly alows the user to adjust the velocity of every sound used,
would be very helpfull.
(Specialy for users with only stereo out.)
12.) "Arrangement", the page should follow the song visually.
13.) "CPU", while ok when running external VSTi,
the CPU grows here up to 33% after hitting stop.
Great work so far, now get the fine tuning right.

Congrats Zauni
A great innovative product, outstanding support, simply excellent.
It works well with dfhs and will hopefully help me to get more out of these incredible drum samples in the future.
Just preordered.
cheers,
Niko
