You open the packs with WinZip (or Stuffit, in case you're on a Mac) and just drag the wavefiles to a place of your choice.

Thanks. What about a multisample set?? How does one extract that format.

Extract like what? I mean, you just unpack the zips and that's about it.
Or are you having troubles with loading the files anywhere into?

The samples from;

http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/Akai/MPC/

When I unzip the file, it is still an unkonwn format.

It would appear these samples are in the MPC2000 native SET format, therefore you will need an MPC to use them. I'm not 100% sure if a piece of software like CDXtract or Translator would convert them.

I seem to recall that I said that you were in the minority by not having a credit card with which to make a purchase of one of my CDs.

Since that time, it would appear that my on-line reseller has introduced a PayPal payment solution so there's no excuse now
