oh sorry telebunke, didn't realize you'd just bought it - yeah you can spend months lost in those sounds (especially SS2).

Ahh, I thought so! :D

This then goes beyond the other libraries with Kontakt players that offer no more than what is achieveable in Kontakt itself (admittedly its alot there).

I hope the bulk of the new features in Philharmonik end up in the new ST2.1. I am looking forward to importing a few samples from some of my other orchestral libraries into the new engine.

Good point.. I hadn't considered that. (although it could be part of the fun excercise to also have the audio mixdown of the demo, and "get it to sound like that in your own host"!). And, normally, a good deal of the desired expression would come from MIDI control of the performance of each part anyways (which would be in the MIDI file)... but once you start getting into the subtleties of the actual mix, it's hard to resist the temptation of using one's own EQs, reverbs etc., even before coming up against the problem of host automation! :)
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Sure. You can share files across multiple platforms this way. Even your performance information can just be saved as midi data. Since every knob in ST2 and ST powered modules like Philharmonik can be controlled with any midi CC you can record those moves in your sequence. One of the things that you'd need to do of course is be able to control level in real time with a CC (besides the volume AFTER the fx which you can already do). Now you'll be able to control either or both. In fact, there are a lot of things you can do now... and in about 12-24 hours from now you'll all know a whole lot more about this plug-in. Don't forget: www.philharmonik.com tomorrow will be unveiled.

WHEN tomorrow?! Early morning? Hopefully I can check it before I go off to my internship :D

Some time tomorrow. Not sure exactly when. Just keep checking it when you can. It will be up the day after tomorrow too. ;)

Wanna know any last minute secrets before www.philharmonik.com is up today? We're talking about less than an hour or two before the site is up. But, perhaps you are curious about what sort of unannounced extras it has... it depends on how impatient you are!

I'm completely schizophrenic on this topic. The part of me which doesn't care about money is desperate to know, the part which does would rather not know anything :)

Mind you, you can guess which part usually wins

Great. Then you'll learn all of the cool things about Philharmonik that you didn't know such as that it has master send effects and in that list is a special version of CSR! So, if you like the sound of the demos I did at Musik Messe then you can be happy to know that a $399 reverb is included.

There are a lot of other cool things as well that were added. I'll share some more with you this week. But, for now, see if you can find them on this extensive website. www.philharmonik.com

good to know we'll be well stocked up on cowbells! :) The CSR deal is great too! There seems endless amounts of stuff packed into it, lots of bells too - Boat Bells, Plate Bells, Mesin Bells!

Can't wait!

Aha, CSR is built in. 8)
And we got a master channel to throw effects on. :applause:

WOW,,, what an impressive list of soundz!! 100meg piano,,, lots of drum rolls, and block rolls,,, the only detail that seems to be missing are audience noises,,, where are the coughs and sneezes to create that realistic hall ambience????? LMAO

I hadn't thought of bongos as an major orchestal instrument,,, but there they are. We can use Philharmonik for our beatnik soundz, too.

I can't wait to get this!!!
