Even if I manually put the files in the folder where plugin scan tells me they should be, it still doesn't work.
When you run the installer, where are you telling it to put the files? I am guessing that you need to delete the config file, if it asks you to do that when running for the first time, say 'yes.'

On Windows I believe the config file should be located at C:\Users\...\Documents\SynthMaster\Config

The following errors occurred while loading preset Missing sampledefinition for Layer1:Osc1:Wave 1

Preset is GTR Raj's dragon

I am guessing this won't be the last that throws and error :(

Rather than make another post, I'll just list presets that throw this error as I run across them:

LD Blue Mushroom
Just updated to 2.9.2, 64-bit, and I now get this same error on LD Blue Mushroom, but not on GTR Raj's dragon. I tested both prior to the update in 2.8.10 without errors.
Windows 10 and too many plugins

Hmm, I wonder if you would get errors for presets I can load ok. Did you see my list?

Well I got the same errors with the first 6 items on your list, so I stopped there...

Ugh. And that isn't even all the expansions. I think automation testing is needed.

Hi.

Sadly I have missing waveforms now that I've updated to 2.9.

From loading BA Conjure UK in Bass category from browser.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

GUI is a mess. There are blemishes everywhere + some cases where I can't turn knobs. Synth engine seems fine to me (i don't use presets much).

Problem solved :D ..I got the wrong installer. I have the reminder function ON so when I open SM it check for new versions. If I accept a new version it goes directly to the download site. But the installer I got was update only. When I removed SM I tried to install it again by using the update installer  ..I didn't pay attention to the naming of the file. Once I downloaded the full installer I had no problems to install v2.9.

I'm back to using the default blue skin, the up-sized skins all show the red where the images are not aligned/scaled correctly. The hi-cut knob in the Wavetables OSC panel is a bit jerky, but from what I can tell everything else looks and acts Ok with that skin.

Kinda of(okay, very) abstract question here, but when it does eventually arrive, will SM3 have any similarities in tone to Synthmaster One? Tight on cash like usual, trying to decide if I should try and pick up One or hold out for SM3, understanding that it might be a long wait.

in tone? you mean soundwise? do SM 2.9 and SM1 sound "different" ? they have the same "engine"

Because prior to this version I wasn't display those warnings, that's why you didn't get them.

I am going through those presets now and will edit them.

Player skins are NOT included with SynthMaster anymore. That IS a Player skin, and I believe it was installed with version 2.7 or 2.8 installer on your system. I haven't started working on the Player yet, the update for it will arrive next week.
