Like I said, Codemeter checks. Which is why it should be easy to get my license back. Ha.

And in terms of removing my license before doing a restore, my system would not even BOOT that far. I had to do it from the wonky Windows emergency recovery.

I had no idea where I would even begin to find the licenses for back up.

Of course the Reason license was unaffected because it was there before the Restore point.

This is a completely new functionality.
Your scenario is very unlikely. I had one hard disk crash on me in 30 years.
It regard it not uncommon that this unlikely scenario is not well covered. Updates can resolve it.

Some glitches are to be expected as with every first release of an app/functionality.

I would agree, but this happened a few days ago. It was after a forced Windows update (I had been on 1803 so long and so smoothly). Something must have glitched in the update.

So no hard disk crash. Just a bad Windows update...and a lost license. At least so far. When the next few days dies down I will contact Rene again see what can happen.

and what is with the 3rd-party like from Bansaw Crown or patchpool or Vandalism? do I have to reinstall all of them, too?

Ok, I did the re-host, reinstalled 1.5, dl/installed the factory content - everything works... Except..

.... it seems that there are some random presets from expansions that are super quiet. Turning all volume/gain knobs up for them does nothing. Not sure what is causing the issue, but it affects multiple random presets across multiple expansions.

Examples:
Effects: House, preset AR Darrish
Effects: House, preset AR Scale Climber
Future Pop, preset BA Black Suit
Future Pop, preset BA Taurus Brother
Future Pop, preset LD Blow Up
EDM 1, preset LD Screaming Dutch 2

That was just in my 2-3 mins of browsing presets in various expansions.
btw, I did download and reinstall the expansions new. As of this morning I've re-downloaded and installed fresh.

No, there is no license code embedded in my Avenger libraries.

What happens when you decide to upgrade your system. (A new computer.) Is the license a one time install on 1 computer? Or can you just reinstall the software om another system? Im in the proces of getting a new system.

When reading back this isn't possible. Will wait a littlebit longer. Or wait till I get my new system/computer.

Sometimes you have to wonder what they do during beta testing. All of those issues should have been caught with proper testing. It's not that we're doing some unusual installation steps or trying to find a preset that's 1db quieter than before. I'm sure all of this will get fixed over time, but it casts a dark cloud over the beta test group...

I don't think they do any beta-testing at all, almost every Avenger update in the past 2 years has been flawed with some more or less large problem, but this time it seems huge...

I am not familiar with code meter at all, but normally, as with any other soft license, you can deactivate it, do the upgrade and then activate it back on the new machine.

The problem is if you forget to deactivate - is the license lost? And we have no answer for that.

Someone mentioned earlier that every 3 months you have to reactivate the license anyway, so now I wonder, if this step is really necessary, then after 3 months any lost license should pop up back into the users account because you can’t really fake a lost license by activating it on a machine and then keeping that machine forever offline.

But if, even with this set of precautions, turns out that licenses can be lost accidentally and unable to be recovered, then this system is ridiculously flawed. But otherwise, if the licenses revert to users account every 3 months then the system is quite smart, now that I think about it.

I've found a number of patches like this and on all of them so far it's been the master filter that was fully closed (turned down). Opening the filter allowed everything to sound normally. Maybe there's others where this isn't the 'fix', but so far for me it has been.

Got 1.5 installed and main content on a second ssd. Everytime i reboot Avenger can't find it. As soon as click the location of the content folder that it's already set to Avenger hooks up. Any idea's whats going on?
