Looking forward to this update. Charlatan has slowly evolved into a great little synth.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the work that went into getting it this far.

what a shame about the lack of a 24db filter;

i didnt notice until i read it in this thread.

There are several synths that only have a 12db filter. Which makes me wonder why developers of such synths don't pick the middle, i.e. a 18db filter instead, which might be a good compromise...

Hmmm... the KVR product page has this info:

3 filter types modeled after classic analog hardware: 4-pole (24 db/oct) and 2-pole (12 db/oct) lowpass, bandpass.

Yes, on the user interface there are three buttons for those three filter options.
Not sure, maybe they were talking about another synth

Maybe your short term memory is failing you, as it was YOU who brought it up

No, my entire post was a joke, and I didn't write 24db, but 24-pole, which amount to 144db

No problem, I remember I accidentally wrote 24-bit filter somewhere some time ago

By the way (a bit off-topic, but eh) I like also the synths having only 12dB/o filters. I often have a lot of pleasure to experiment them because for many old style sounds it is very nice.

i saw that and thought you meant you wanted a 24Gb (giga-byte) filter

can you not just have two 12db/oct filters in series, so you can switch
slope? single resonance amount though -and/or split the 2nd stage with
2x 6 db, o you can get at the 18 db?

i also think 12db/oct can sound nice, not too overwhelming, depending
on what else is going on.
