Sking-tight costumes? I just can't muster the required willing suspension of disbelief.

Aftertouch is applied by holding a key and pressing down (requires a keyboard that responds to aftertouch).
To be exact, aftertouch (also called 'pressure') is applied by pressing down on a key on a keyboard that can generate aftertouch.

Aftertouch (AT) is a modulation signal that can affect whatever the programmer of the VI has seen fit to implement - LFO vibrato, filter cutoff, amplitude level, and so on.

If your keyboard doesn't generate AT, you can often program a suitable controller (pedal, slider, rotary, etc.) to send AT modulation. But then you miss out on the expressive real time advantage of having a pressure/AT sensitive keyboard.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Yep, same here. I'm rather startled to see just how much these sounds really shaped the soundtrack. Some of those percussion sounds really just breathe with a life of their own if played correctly. "The Long Now" sounds are a good example of that.(note: they're not listed under percussion, they're under Effects + Chaos)

underpants, tights and muscles mixed with a petit or grand bourgeous figure (e.g. Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne). i suppose, there was a lot of irony, when these comix were created initially.

Ah, thanks a lot for the info. My keyboard does seem to have aftertouch so I'm looking forward to trying it after work. :)

Didn't realise the film was that long!

i saw 'The Dark Knight' and i enjoyed the soundtrack, but i couldn't see the philosophical depth in the movie as some suggested. the comic(al) superhero mythology of the 20th century is somehow ridiculous. when the filmmakers apply some flaws to their hero, they think, it's revolutionary.
so i'd rather watch 'Brazil' for the 25th time, than to go to 'The Dark Knight Rises'.
Baahahahaa..Batman TDKR is summer blockbuster. Nothing less nothing more. It does not pretend to be anything else and id doesn't have any hidden philosophy (unless viewer made it up-but that can be done with every movie).

It does follow comic and what is most important it is extremely successful as that - summer blockbuster. It is real visual eyecandy and soundwise it is perfect.

Sorry for spoil your party but noone here even mentioned Brazil (probably because of really no real connection other then being movie itself..). You can watch it as much as you want it though..

'blockbuster' just means, a lot of people go there and there is a lot of money behind it. no reason for a grandaddy like me
'visual eyecandy' maybe, but that's not enough for me.
'soundwise it is perfect' i did my review already in this thread. more or less agree.
i mention 'Brazil', because in my eyes it's more than 'eyecandy' and 'blockbuster'.
"You can watch it as much as you want it though ... " ¡muy bien!

cheers :)

Is there no AU of ZebraHZ? Can't seem to find it.

We're working on that, maybe log out and in, or delete Zebra2.component and install again.

(seems that MacOS X sometimes is initially oblivious of the new AU in the component bundle)

Restart MAC did the trick for me.

So it's great that the ZebraHZ plug-in shows all the Zebra presets in the browser as well as the new ones, however it's unfortunate that the favorites are not retained. Is it possible to transfer the Zebra favorites with the stars from Zebra 2 to ZebraHZ?

Hmmm... we just added support for symbolic links / shortcuts. This may somehow have "swallowed" the favourites...

I'll ask Clemens tomorrow. We shall - if possible - fix this shortly in an update.

OMG.

I just bought the Dark Zebra.

I don't have words for how awed I am.
I don't think I ever heard such perfectly crafted sounds.

These are real masters at work.
It is both humbling and encouraging to hear that something like this is possible.

Huge thanks to Urs, Howie and Hans for opening up this treasure trove.

I think I'll go VERY VERY slowly through these.

Wow.

. . .

I had a drink, and somehow, this just seemed funny when reading through all these posts quickly :)
