$74.99 for an updated browser and what looks like internal oversampling? I think you also forgot "three times what the upgrade price should be" in your blurb. And you have the cheek to talk about loyal customers!

Post

Yeah I'm going to pass with that upgrade price

Post

Good luck. I don’t want to be disrespectful but the upgrade price is out of this world in the actual synths market.

Post

Hard pass for that price and I already paid 2 upgrades through the years.

Post

Given the full price is $150, and the upgrade is half of that:

Do the new features really double the value from 7.9?? That is what the numbers should be telling us. I know you got to eat, but the new features aren't "half" of the synth. They don't even represent 10% of this synth. Let those buying new fund the upgrade time. For those who already have a current version, this is quite a slap.

It would have been a no brainer at $24-29. At $39, I would have had to think about it, but likely would have caved.

At $75, nope, not unless I was coming from V4. Skewed too high. Please please please consider dropping it to a reasonable level, at least for those on the current V7.

Post

@discoDSP, I purchased the upgrade but when I click on the download link for Discovery Pro 8.0 (Windows) I get a zip file with DiscoveryPro79.exe (file date October 13 2023).

Post

Was curious to see what my v6->v7 upgrade cost back in 2020 ... 9 euros
Maybe the decimal point got in the wrong place and it's actually meant to be $7.49(.9) :D

Post

What does twice the detail mean in practical terms in relation to the sound of an oscillator?

Post

sorry, are you joking? :o :o :o
75 euros (nearly 50% of the new price) just for an upgrade?
C'mon, it's 2024, Discovery is a very powerful synth but there are plenty of good alternativeas at reasonable prices or even free.
Please reconsider this insane upgrade price...Or we'll have to pass...

Presumably 2x internal oversampling ... the filters being twice as rich though, curious to know what units 'richness' is measured in :)

I guess it is measured in USD or EU

We encountered an issue where the Members Area was providing version 7.9 instead of 8.0. This has now been fixed. Please download the correct version again. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
