The Microcosm, RC-500 and the Zoia all have midi connections as well. Though the Zoia
and RC-500 have TRS connections. You would probably enjoy the microcosm btw, that's
another unit with no real software equivalent.

yeah, its a lovely sounding thing, but not cheap.
over here it costs roughly another third maybe on top of what you pay :(
i also really like how their stuff looks, just something about it :)

Yeah the cost is high, the thing I like about it, is the granular glitch effects. The thing is a great
and unique gitch effect and few really regard it that way. Most think only about the ethereal
soundscape type stuff, which it does very well also.

The price should go down on it by 1/3 or so probably, once they come up with something new.
That seems to be their mo...

ill have to keep an eye on them, problem then is, new thing makes old thing less attractive
they do make some interesting bits, and it seems to be following the same aesthetic, but growing with each new product.
i like that, even if it means a pedal may become obsolete, because the newer model does the same, but more as well...
but then, its great because you have one for synths and one for guitar :D

or like my fuzz, one for different points in the chain

3 has been my maximum, one 1st in the chain before the wah, then one after the wah.
then one towards the end of the chain, after the reverb.
(aside from just to see how it sounded, i rarely use more than one at a time, just saves pissing about rewiring for a different tone)

Cobalt8X is so pleasant to play! A very well-thought-out instrument when it comes to features and UX. Oscillators are very musical - not that great for experimental music lovers but I'm not one of them.
I just wish to have 4 more modulation slots because it's not enough to use for a few LFO assignments + 4 directions of Joystick.

While Cobalt can be seen as a plugin in a box, it's way more fun to play than a plugin.
Agree with everything. I love the Cobalt it’s pure bliss to use. But a few more mod slots would be great and maybe a fourth envelope.
