Hi Attila very good, mostly work with increase gui +3 , i see layout space error in phrase bass generator many rythm generator. should i do screenshot ?. do you plan in composition window phrase name too larger ?. this is the only that is little small. BTW: i did not notice how i can change the displayed phrase name. no entry in menu.

I notice that when change a variation parameter long notes in independent tracks as pads or 1 bar drum trigger, ample guitar pattern play notes do immidiate note off. So there need wait some time until it sound alltogether correct. should i do video, that show what happen to drums, when i change swing in melody track ?.

snap playback position to nearest beat work now. A setting to can choose bar is usefull because then the drums with 1 bar play always too.
in most other sequencer software there is option that when press stop the play cursor jump to position where start. is this with RC too possible ?. i think this very usefull and i use allways this mode in reaper and cubase.

Synth1 crashes a lot, and I am afraid it is not a problem in RapidComposer that I can fix. Today I had 3 crashes deeply inside Synth1. Only its author can fix that.

Yes, I know about it, and it disturbs me too! There were hanging notes in the past when you moved variation sliders. The reason was that note beginnings and endings were moving and notes that sounded were never turned off sometimes.
This is still not solved properly, the current solution is not nice.

Yes, if you make a selection on the timeline, and enable the 'region' icon (next to 'loop'), pressing STOP will return to the beginning of the selection.

when it is possible that the phrase name can larger too, is nice. there need not much. 1-2 pixel is enough. the fader text seem larger and can good read. or maybe you make the phrase text for all size as large as fader text

the track use diffrent VST Edit:(midi) channels or own VST instance. So wy need notes touch that are not in this track ? .I understand when VST channel is same and VST instance is share that it shoulkd stop other tracks notes

but need then change the selection. but ok, i see that selection can move now by click in middle and size stay same.

another thing in notice is when VST instrument load much data on start.the requester show done, but it load still data. when press right mouse button before the blue requester with done is gone, then rc crash, with that .wer messages

have to ask something about latest update: what do you mean by "can run as portable" ? If that means what I think it does would be absolutely great news !

But how does it work, just copy programfolder to usb stick/notebook and run ?

I would be really happy cause I had a very frustrating time with free days over the year somewhere where there was no internet connection at all. I had my notebook with an older version installed and some new betas on the usb stick and one "official" older 3 with the license code and could get NOT ONE VERSION TO WORK. I updaded with a beta, that crashes even in mode without project. Then I installed an older version, then I was asked for a license and so on....

So for that case(s) a portable version would be absolutely brilliant, hope I get it right

Hi Richard,

yes, you get it right. You can copy the program and associated data to a pendrive if you wish.
You need to copy the Data folder (RapidComposerV3) from your Documents folder to the program folder.
E.g. if you want to use D:\RC as the program folder you need to have
D:\RC\RapidComposer_x64.exe
D:\RC\RapidComposerV3\Settings
D:\RC\RapidComposerV3\DB
D:\RC\RapidComposerV3\Soundfonts
D:\RC\RapidComposerV3\CustomPhrases
etc.

The program checks if there is "RapidComposerV3" in the program folder, and it will use that. Otherwise it looks in your Documents folder.

"Fill Track with Selected Phrases" rather than filling with the just one phrase ?
Maybe have a shuffle option like you have with the dice so the arrangement order is different each time.

Maybe in the future ?? you can have this for the Audio tracks, where you have loops with the Acid information embedded and RC with fit them to the chord track.
Also you could have community track sharing, where users upload their tracks they have created midi/audio, with audio you could have templates with a chord progressions in different keys, users record their instrument to, RC will then split the wav at chords and write wav file cue points (as you save the Chord markers now in the exported midi file), BWF "bext" chunk "Chord" and Acid Tempo into the wav file (as Reaper has this option in the Render dialog) RC could then rearrange this recorded track to a different progression by reading the wav file cue points "chord" and Acid Tempo information saved in the wav, you could have the option for RC to transpose the wav so many semitones to give more variation when creating an Audio track with the chosen instrument to fit the RC Chord Track.

So basically I will record a my guitar/or midi to an RC Template in different keys, upload to dropbox or site where other users can download the tracks, RC will then rearranged the track to fit their chord progression and key.
Anyway something to think about

Of course I forgot that Shift-Return does exactly this. It is a good idea to check the shortcuts (Settings / Keyboard Shortcuts)

You can redefine the shortcut so that Return behaves like that.

Hi Attila thanks i look, on my install there have 2 entries for shift+return both as global on. stop playback/jump to beginning and start stop playback &jump to playback start position.
maybe i do something wrong on key define, i dont remember that i change it. on my install it do stop and set cursor always to beginning of song. I think it very good to have all in 1 folder, so can test with default settings. I remove setting file(in hope rc create a defauklt setting) and it ask me for my licence code. add it and click on unlock do nothing. ok, so i use my setting file and it load my songs , except all VST plugins are not add in song(so sound wrong), but they are list in settings vsti tab all ok. do you get VSTI correct working ?. you can try with a MUX vsti, this too not work

I notice that when all files are in 1 folder, the vsti are list in instruments to choose. but select them come message wrong architecture. so seem a problem with the bit versions i use only 64 bit

I copy the db dir again and then it work. i dont know what happen but in old db files in copy it want load vst from programs (x86)

on my install there are DB files in appdata\roaming\rapidcomposer this contain link to 32 bit vsti. setting file is not modify but customphrases contain phrases i create

for what is appdata\roaming\rapidcomposer need ?.Can i delete phrase and DB folders ?.

Yes, please delete everything in AppData\Roaming\RapidComposerV3. If you have files in CustomPhrases, move them to the new location, and don't forget to set the new location under the Settings / Locations tab.

The new installer beginning from v3.2b4 installs everything directly in your Documents\RapidComposerV3 directory.
There is no 'Data' directory anymore where the program is installed.
