H3000s seems to be over £2k on Reverb.com, not sure where you're seeing them for $1k, (and I know you weren't suggesting it) but it would be massive overkill to get one just for vocals. I've got the plugin version and it's pretty much a modular effect unit, decades before things like the Empress Zoia came out.

Hmm, living in Hawaii, I rarely consider 2nd hand due to shipping hassles mostly. I have yet to buy anything used. An affordably priced H3000 would be worth considering for sure.

I can understand that. I got a Pitch Factor when the Eventide Anthology plug-ins were still TDM only. I fell in love with the layout and flexibility of the Pitch Factor and it was kind of a gateway drug into Eventide for me. It was the first pedal I had that could be controlled via MIDI and it blew my mind a the time.

I got an H9000 last year with the Dante expander and it's become a totally indispensable tool for me. I've only recently started exploring Vsig but even without creating custom algorithms, it's incredibly deep. Since it provides 32 channels of I/O via Dante, I can run multiple instances of algorithms through my DAW or through my Rednet interfaces and I can still use the analog I/O for routing outboard gear. Using an Eventide pitch shifter in the feedback loop of a real tape delay or using my stereo spring reverb within a larger patch can be a magical experience. And with the eMote plug-in, I can modulate effect parameters with automation or Bitwig's modulators.
I can go on and on about the H9000. It's freaking brilliant. Everything about it is top of class.

Definitely don't get it in that case. H3000's are notorious for having issues.

is it for guitar?
have you seen the tc electronic ebow type thing? think it's called the wand?
my preference for feedback without amplitude and neighbour complaints

although, i use an ebow which is more expensive, the tc one does the exact same thing, donkey tugger has one.
had the cheaper option existed 20 or so years ago, that's probably what id use too.

I'm just looking for a simple pedal for occassional feedback

I've been using the Softube plugin - it works fine with amp sims - but since using it with a *real* amp it doesn't sound very good. It seems to want to work with th eraw guitar file.
The Digitech one seems to do th etrick but:
A it's not available right now in the UK
B it's not worth th eprice for the once in a while that I'd use it

All things pedal related.
