I'll send out the next batch of betas in a few hours. One of the beta testers found an installer bug for Windows XP, so I want to test the fix to the installer script before I send things out today.
EDIT: I've made the changes, and sent out the 1.5.0b7dot3 installer to people that have requested it. The OSX installer hasn't changed, as these issues were Windows XP specific.

Yes. Dirty Hall.
To be fair, Dirty Hall was dialed in with a 224XL, and Blade Runner used a 224, so there will probably be slight sonic differences. My guess is that the 70s mode in Dirty Hall will get you pretty close.

Thanks Sean off to test it. It's very nice this Blade Runner reverb + synth sound is what got me into synthesizers

I just posted a description of the 6 new VintageVerb reverb modes in another thread, but I should post them here, in order to fulfill my duties as a reverbmonger.
The 6 new algorithms in VintageVerb:
- Dirty Hall: Lex 224XL style Concert Hall. Dialed in by A/Bing a Lexicon 224XL in a nice studio. Nonlinear, noise, and quantization artifacts of original 224XL emulated. 70s mode has 8 kHz cutoff of 224, 80s mode the 15 kHz cutoff of 224XL, NOW mode has no bandlimiting.
- Dirty Plate: Lex 224XL style Plate. See above.
- Smooth Plate: Rich Plate variant, with VERY smooth, transparent decay (vs the initially rough decay of the older Lexicon algorithms). This might be my favorite algorithm of all the reverb algorithms in my plugins.
- Smooth Room: Room/Rich Chamber variant, with VERY smooth decay (vs the initially rough decay of the older Lexicon algorithms).
- Smooth Random: Random Hall variant, with VERY smooth decay (vs the initially rough decay of the older Lexicon algorithms). Much quicker attack than the VintageVerb Random Space algorithm, with more initial "presence" to the sound.
- Nonlin: A gated/reverse/truncated reverb. Size controls the length, Attack varies the slope (0%: truncated, 50%: gated, 100%: reverse).
REVERBS FOR SALE! FRESH, TRANSPARENT REVERBS FOR SALE! CATCH OF THE DAY!!!!

This update has had me spending all day learning the Blade Runner intro and trying to get that Yamaha CS 80 sound out of DIVA. Half the sound is that reverb and you nailed it. Really makes DIVA and Bazille sing.
Thanks

I am also enjoying the new Windows Beta version of VintageVerb. It seems to be stable in my computer as I haven't experienced any kind of problems with it so far. I Can't comment about the sound of the new algos yet because I need to learn them better.
I feel that all the ValhallaDSP products have turned out to be really good purchases for me. I have actually ended up using them all over my projects and I can't seem to recall any bugs or crashes. Many plugins I own collect digital dust somewhere inside my VST-folder but that is not the case with Valhalla plugins. Vroom, VVV and Shimmer have become the first tools I reach for if I need a reverb.
These products had a good price/quality ratio right from the start and it has only got better because of the new FREE features. Sean certainly knows how to keep his customers happy.

while I've only given them a quick spin, I truly agree with Sean: Smooth plate may be the best verb algo I've ever heard. I love the Smooth Random as well! FWIW- plug is solid as a rock per usual so far in L9 version 9.1.3 Win 7 32bit.

switch. only aax, or also normal vst for windows?????
if also for vst, where can i get it? i am using vvv quite a while, and always wanted a stereo/mono switch.

No stereo/mono switch. Just 6 new algorithms. VST/AAX/RTAS for Windows, VST/AU/AAX/RTAS for OSX.lfo2k wrote:sorry if i ask like a retarded, but i seem not to get it right. there is a beta with new algos and a stereo/mono
