LMAO - your "offer"? I challenged you to provide proof of your false claim, and you weaseled out. The burden of proof still rests on your shoulders, despite your inaction. Congrats.Psuper wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 3:33 pm That's what I figured. My offer will stand should you grow a set.

My hammer is actually my old screwdriver reskinned: I can drive the same screws into the wood as before.
I know it sound slightly different
but I get a very close result

Phrase it however you want Enoch, anyone with common sense would take away two things should they bother to read our full exchange:
1. I stated Objekt sounded exactly like Resonans, and after listing closely I'd swear that's 100% Resonans if it wasn't labeled differently. One synth out of the thousands out there. This back in April before anyone was even aware that the Dev of Resonans worked on Objekt. Coincidence its not says Yoda.
2. I have nothing to prove see #1 -- if you have a mote of critical thinking you'd perhaps put two and two together.
But for *some* reason you have something to push, and it has nothing to do with your honest evaluation of the two products.
Regardless, I'm certain if someone else owned Resonans and Objekt as you stated you do, and had a decent grasp of the tech and usage (which I don't believe you do), they'd make good on their challenge and not hollow out some pretend 'that's not how it works 'schtick'.
I'm good with where we're at now, I'll keep on keeping on -- you should do the same though I'll be happy to let you have the last word -- it's your 'thing'.

For the sake of brevity, I'm only responding to correct some misinformation you seem to be pushing. The facts are:Psuper wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 5:19 pm Phrase it however you want Enoch, anyone with common sense would take away two things should they bother to read our full exchange:

1. You claimed Objekt was a reskinned Resonans.
2. You then claimed that Resonans and Objekt sound the same, and now (apparently, according to the above) the dev of Resonans worked on Objekt.
You were told point blank, by said company who created Objekt, that Peter Jubel programmed Objekt (FYI: Anosou works for Reason Studios). And while it does have a simple modal resonator like Resonans, the bulk of its physical modelling is from two newly made waveguide-based models. That does NOT make it a reskinned Resonans, no matter how you try to spin it.
And your claim that Resonans can sound the same as Objekt is moot, as already explained by people other than me. But for shits and giggles, I'd love to see you do this with a "reskinned" Resonans:
Keep on keeping on, indeed.

This is one of the weirdest forum arguments I've read in quite a while.
Just leaving this here for any future readers: Objekt is not Resonans. We have the code so it's easy to tell, but I guess that's not enough. So an actual example of what the differences in modeling tech results in is the plethora of percussion patches, especially cymbals and skinned percussion like Timpani. The nonlinearity, dispersion, and harmonic content required is not achievable with the model Resonans uses (and the open source Mutable Instruments code it's based on, where only the single string model employs nonlinearity/dispersion to my knowledge).
