Doh, you're right... and it's a great menu too! Categorized and neatly sliced and diced.jupiter8 wrote:I'm pretty sure it's in there already because i have seen it.Not at the studio computer for the moment but try and right-click on the preset button.swartzfeger wrote: One thing I would like to see in Room that Shimmer features (in Logic anyway) is a factory preset dropdown menu. Hey Sean - thanks for your great and fast help getting Valhallaroom back up on my new system. I feel that the crash actually ended up to be a positive because now I'm much better organized, I've tossed out all the garbage, and my system is running like greased lightening!
I was using Valhallaroom with VB3 and was surprised when I noticed that Valhallaroom will not let me cycle through the presets from the Ableton Live control box. Using Live, this is a really easy way to sample presets quickly and easily using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Not sure that you were aware of this behavior and would sure like to see it working on Valhallaroom as it does with most other VSTe and VSTi.
Thanks again for your great support and ubercool plugs!

I experimented with playing Emotional Piano through VRoom at 176.4 kHz yesterday, and I was surprised by this strong metallic timbre in the sound, which is not present at 88.2 kHz which is my normal mode. Turning off VRoom made the metallic sound go away. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't heard any other reports of this bug. Then again, most VRoom users aren't dolphins or bats.savantgarde wrote:I experimented with playing Emotional Piano through VRoom at 176.4 kHz yesterday, and I was surprised by this strong metallic timbre in the sound, which is not present at 88.2 kHz which is my normal mode. In all seriousness, my audio interfaces only go up to 96 kHz, so I didn't test above those frequencies. I deliberately downsample in the Dark modes, so you may want to try those at the higher sampling rates.
EDIT: A quick peek at the ValhallaRoom code turns up a likely suspect for bugs at sampling rates >96 kHz. I'll put a fix into the next update. No timeline on this yet - I've got some ÜberWork on my plate for this week.

i can't believe people keep misspelling Valhalla - i mean seriously, what the hell does VAHalla mean?
a typo i can understand, but misspelling it is so common that i'm starting to suspect ignorance.

I'm not worried about it. Heck, I've spelled it "Vahalla" a few times. It's a pretty common typo to make.sopulurn wrote:i can't believe people keep misspelling Valhalla - i mean seriously, what the hell does VAHalla mean?a typo i can understand, but misspelling it is so common that i'm starting to suspect ignorance.

I'm finishing up the 1.0.1 update for ValhallaÜberMod (still getting beta feedback). Once this is released, I'll start on the next VRoom update, which will include the 64-bit VST.vic_france wrote:(Sorry to hound you, Sean, but)..

Note that the current status of 64-bit OSX VSTs produced using the Juce framework is sort of shaky (other manufacturers that use Juce have found this as well). They work well in Cubase 6, but not very well in other hosts. As far as I know, all of the other 64-bit VST hosts for OSX also run Audio Units, and the Juce support for 64-bit Audio Units is solid, so the 64-bit OSX VSTs are best viewed as the Cubase 6 solution.

Hi guys, would love to recreate the reverb sounds on this retro-early 90's house style track with my ValhallaRoom:
I would love to get all the reverb types, but I'd settle with the reverb for the percussion of the drum machine and the bass at the start of the track.
Thanks a lot in advance!.

Hi VRoom users,
I'm looking for a beta tester for ÜberMod, with the following characteristics:
- Already owns VRoom, but not ÜberMod
- Is running Lion
If you fit those criteria, and would like to beta test the new version of ÜberMod (and be a bit of a guinea pig), drop me a note - PM or email. I need to see if there are any weird anomalies going on with Lion and my installer.

ASIO4ALL 2.11 Beta1 (asio4all.com) supports up to 192 kHz now. It works fine.valhallasound wrote:In all seriousness, my audio interfaces only go up to 96 kHz, so I didn't test above those frequencies.
--Support a number of sample rates on the ASIO side that the audio device does not physically support. Basically, this means an extension to the on-the-fly rate conversion capabilities.
All the best,
Paul
