I'm personally not going to go for it. I've found that this kind of thing feels like a compromise between modular and a DAW, and it doesn't make sense for me when I'm already integrating those two things in their best forms anyway. But it's still a cool thing. Polyphonic Plaits for instance...

I'm in. While I agree with so much here, I also like the disting so much that having another with a bigger display and more I/O is absolutely worth it to me.

On Edit: Well, maybe not after seeing the price. We'll see.

I've heard hardware distortion can do things software can't....and then there is the immediate gratification of hearing something bathed in distortion.
Again, CV control will be a factor. I might have to get an expander for Pamela's Pro workout.

I really like u-he's Runciter and OhmForce's Ohmicide. I'm strongly considering getting the Ohmicide module but what I loved about that plug-in was the key-switches and morphing capabilities. I don't think those features made it into the module.
In hardware, I tend to overdrive preamps and channel strips more than I use dedicated distortion boxes but here are a few that I'm pretty fond of: Elysia Karacter, TC Culture Vulture, zvex Fuzz Factory, Zoom Ultra Fuzz, Big Muff Pi, Flight of Harmony Plague Bearer.

Since I think I'll be sending 6-8 channels into my DAW with the es-10 ADAT interface, I will avoid DSP-based modules. The biggest reason to own a physical distortion is to know how it will sit in the mix while playing/composing. There are a lot of dedicated filter modules out there and I feel like I have to have that too and that's why the idea of these filter/distortion modules sound good. The way it looks now, I could have a Kith Ruina AND another distorting module. So many things to consider.

I hear ya! Pre/post filtering is a huge part of the character. It’s nice to have all that functionality behind a single panel. If they are still available, I’d suggest checking out the Plague Bearer, it’s a dual filter and distortion in 8hp and it gets really interesting with self patching.

My fav overdriven filter for eurorack... just sayin. It is quite tall, not going to work in some cases.

I like the look of the NT, as I have an EX, but I just bought a MetaModule and its next to a Hector, so Im pretty good for modular-in-modular right now. Plus I already have that EX and a Mk4. But one to keep an eye on, for me.

As posted before I’m hoping those promised Teensy 4.x based O_c modules start shipping soon as I prefer some of the hemispheres type apps over what the Disting offers though there’s bound to be a lot of crossover.

^^^ Indeed. I was checking weather updates/google maps etc., during and the day after the storm, as I noticed they were within two miles of the main river that overflowed (by like 16 feet over!). They finally posted something. Not sure how Moog's people/facilities fared though.

We were planning to visit Asheville at the end of the month, on our way through the Smoky Mountains to the coast. The entire area is closed off except to emergency crews until further notice.

I don't know about Moog itself but Moogseum's front awning was torn off and smashed their front window. No other major damage thankfully. Repairing that is going to be WAY down the priority list, and they'd be closed anyway. A lot of places don't have electricity or water and a lot of roads have washed out.

The main road through Great Smoky Mountain National Park is open, so we plan to still go from Gatlinburg to Cherokee... but instead of cutting east through Maggie Valley to Asheville (that road is closed until late December), we'll have to go further south on back roads. *Which* back roads will depend on what gets repaired.

Last time we were in that area (2016) we had to flee Gatlinburg because of the Chimney Tops 2 wildfire...

I was a bit worried about Lisa Bella Donna's digs as well given how much she writes about Appalachia but she released something for Bandcamp Friday so I assume she's fine.

In less important events I've spent the past few days torn on if I want to pick up an Oxi One. Lot of the videos out there make it look way too button-combo for me, but maybe it's not that bad? Hm.
