I see! Maybe another play button could be added to preview phrase with variations.
It worked like that all the time: you edited the 'original' phrase.

yes, another play button with variations is ok too. maybe it is easy possible that the notes that the variation create is transparent copy in the note display. i think this help see what variations really do. older RC versions the notes that variation do, are copy for edit to phrase editor so i hope this is not much work.

First of all thank you for reporting the crash, which is fixed now.
I also fixed MIDI import, so pitch bend will be imported.

Hi crossovercable,
I am afraid it is not possible. Each track is one channel. You can have the same channel on multiple tracks.

By the way, why not make a MIDI import / combine in a single track, not only to channel 10?

This is not possible, only by copying all phrases from other tracks and pasting them in one track.

Yes I have to copy to the first and glue, with the guitar they have them on separate channels so if you are bending a note on one string and holding a note on another it will do this if on a separate channel else the held note will get the pitch bend also. Though a rechannel option would help.

the random generator do for me the best melodies. melody generator i like currently not. but it happen often when i have add rests that there are strange short notes are create and it sound wrong. see screenshot

some rules for me that music sound good. when have a gap then sound best when the note after gap have same high as before gap. if this sound for other better too maybe can have automatic gap when random generator for example create 3 notes of same hight and second note get a gap

@crossovercable good find, but i find no program that create such files. there is another (seem newer) document from same authors, i find with search for auto lead guitar. with the bendings it sound really good. but parts without bending sound simular as melody generator i think. so maybe it is possible to add the automatic bending creation code in RC. this example videos show that bend let music sound much better.
