That is not correct. I buy from many Euro companies and they only charge VAT when they have to charge it. Try Time and Space store. The prices listed including and excluding VAT. When you add to the cart it reflects VAT but when it gets to PayPal, VAT disappears. But with Paraware, VAT disappears but "Shipping and Handling" appears and this is wrong, it makes library $60 something in $. It is not fair to charge VAT when he does not have to pay VAT.Robmobius wrote:Devs don't charge the VAT it's the EU, and there's nothing they can do about it (it's done automatically).Astralv wrote:Still want to buy that expansion. Are you ever going to get rid of VAT/shipping charge for outside of Europe customers? This is ridiculous to make us pay VAT when there is no VAT.

The winter sale ended!
RAPID is now available for a regular price of..
179,99€
The price may varies slightly depending on your country.
---
I want to thank all customers and also critics here for their support and feature suggestion. 2017 will be an interesting year for Rapid. With all the planned features, I'm sure Rapid will constantly evolve into an even better synth. There is also a new extension in the making. Some of its sounds were already shown by Mirko Ruta in this thread. Be exited, it will definitely not be EDM this time
Have much fun building sound with Rapid and a happy New Year!

Glad you reconsidered. I think this new price is more in line with the compared direct competition price, and will allow for Rapid to be more a more viable option, IMO.parawave wrote:The winter sale ended!

Too bad the people who bought in the introduction period won't get €20,- back, or a nice soundset......fmr wrote:Glad you reconsidered. Oh, c'mon! So you lowered the price for the synth but expansion is still $60? This just makes no sense. How come you can not drop the VAT? at least $50 (even through it is too expansive as well) could work. This is so frustrating. I wish you warned that expansions will be $60, I would not buy the synth then. There already too many sounds. Keep waiting. 2017, there will be even more sounds. I like to collect them plus I still hope to buy something I dont have, which happens very rare. But I can live without another 123 sounds- I can definitely find each sound you offering somewhere in another synth or sample library. One expansion cost 3rd of the entire synth. Please, reconsider. Or challenge us. Post a sound nobody has. I would buy your expansion at $60 if you post one sound no one already made.

I am sure others will design presets for the synth, just wait and see. I'd like to hear what Rob Lee, Irion Ronin, Sami Ramia, Umit Uy, Nico Hertz (Bigtone), or Frank Neumann (Xenox) could do with this synth.Astralv wrote:Oh, c'mon! I very much hope that Aiyn Zahev will make a bank. He did a review on Youtube, it seems that he has a license.

Some presets are worth it some might not.
I remember all the official Alchemy patch banks for about 50 bucks (not all) which had 150 presets each (beside the smaller ones). Still the best i ever have/had (for my taste).
But they came with some unique sample content which you could use for your own taste, fantastic settings for performence (modwheel, aftertouch, remix pads and whatever) and took months of work in some cases.
So there is a huge different with sound banks which don´t have much additional content, great use for performence compared to banks which might bigger but wasn´t created in such a deep thought and usability for a broader range etc.

Yep, these were quality soundsets, well worth the money...and often sold discounted. I would not want to spend $50 on a soundset only to find 10 variations of the same sound (which could easily be achieved with macros). And at the other end of the spectrum I don't like soundsets full of multiple layer melodies.Cinebient wrote:Some presets are worth it some might not. +1 for Rob Lee
