just watched the new sonictalk with dave spears
they seem to have developed their own sort of framework, which only runs on mac?
and more to come...
have we already mentioned the alex ball review?

He at least delved into the sequencer side of it, so I can see it's capable of a little bit more esoteric stuff. Still not wowed by the sounds though...I've not heard anything that makes me see why anyone gets moist about Ob filters.

now...i'm already missing it...
imho the interface/gui is quite brilliant
easy to dial in, the small zoom button for the individaul SEMs is wonderful
backside panel with lots of velocity mod possibilites
everything easy and fast accessable
every module can be edited individually and have its own sound
(can oberhausen do this?)
in re: does it multitimbrality?
i.e.: each sem module has its own midichannel?
according to mr. spears it does MPE so...wel...maybe...
would also be cool as guitar synth with 6 individual channels/sem modules
only 2 big drawbacks imho:
modwheel seems to be hardwired to vibrato only ? (kinda strange imho)
and the price is imho to high with apr € 200,-
so....waiting til a sale is coming (a rarety @ gforce...)

Gforce is like a synth company with designers but no engineers. I think they could take a lead from Rob Papen and stick with one in house programmer that handles all the various plugin formats and OSes. Keep everything consistent.

I paid around 29$ for it.FapFilter wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:38 pmOf course they are one of the big “discounters“ in plugin-land (one could snarkily call it scammers too)martinjuenke wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:28 pmWho pays MSRP for PA stuff?FapFilter wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:09 pm To be fair, Oberhausen's MSRP is $249 or something iirc unless they changed it in the meanwhile.
But wether one needs one, or the other, both or none, depends on each person
I don't know anybody except Elton.
It's still what it is: MSRP = $249 (unless they changed it of course), which of course is ridiculous compared to what you can get from other companies
A lot of guys paid 14$ (using a voucher) recently.
Just for the records...

Because you're younger than sixty, that simple.kritikon wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 10:54 pm "rock, jazz, fusion and prog classics"
I'm probably way out in the minority, but those genres are pretty niche to me...![]()

Well, I cant try a demo but listening to the audio demos through my studio monitors and then listening to bx_oberhausen (I paid $29 for this like most people) I really can't hear any difference at all. I don't think I would be interest in this if it was available for Windows, so maybe they did the right thing
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Is it Mac M1 native, or is it running under Roseta 2 compatible mode?

If it is Roseta I’m not interested, not at this price point
