anyway, most of the trance and dnb was a lot better only ten years ago.. i dont know what happened.. probably the ease of sequencing and production via PCs ruined the whole tape multitrack process
I couldnt agree with you more about trance. I havent heard a good trance track in...4 years? However, whos to say it can't evolve? if you dont like how a genre ages then it is tough nuggies for you.
However I think DnB is the best it's ever been (namely spor/noisia). I offered pretty narrow examples because that's what I like, but if you were to randomly select tracks out of the DnB scene they would vary A LOT more.

I live in texas, a very anti-gay state. At my school are the most stereotypical jocks ever, the kind who call everything/everyone gay/fag(got)/queer, and then top their day off with the steamy all male shower and definately top it with some ass-slapping afterwards. It's hard NOT to mock these people.
When it comes down to it, my few gay acquaintances call me gay/faggoe, just how I can jokingly use the nigger word with my black friends. English is weird, i guess

Well now it's basically come a step further and now is fun to use reverse psychology in the same sense: point out to a person who plays the homophobia card often that they might be a tad homophobic themselves. The word is used way too loosely these days.
Oh well. It's a trend I would choose any day over the actual prejudice this is commonly taking place of.
I'm not pinting any fingers at you, btw, just stating what i often see in real life.

english is a f**ked up langauge, no doubts there.
nigger is an incorrect spelling/pronounciation of the latin 'niger' which means black. negro is from latin niger, black in spanish. likewise for portugese, and other latin based langauges.
funny thing is, african-types prefer to be called 'black' most of the time..
same thing applies with 'gay'. everyone knows the word gay was originally popularly taken to mean an extremely happy state. it isnt exactly as odd as the case with the word nigger though, since these days anything happy tends to often be called gay, literally, but the word gay is now taken with negative connotation. is it bad to be happy?

oh, okay, i know what you mean. this thread was started as a joke and there's not much activity anymore, so i hope it's okay that we're a little OT here.
a friend of mine spent a year in texas as an exchange student when he was around your age. i don't think he told anyone he was gay. i guess it was still an enjoyable year, all in all, but it must have put some stress on him at times.
