Save as an *.acd-zip and not an *.acd, then it'll only save what's used in the track and you can empty the folder completely. (as the name suggests, it zips up the actual audio/midi tracks as opposed to saving links to them.)Cabinfever wrote:One of the other things that really bothered me about Acid was "left over" audio recordings.
Let's say you define the folder where you want your recorded audio to go. You then start recording. Of course there will be be stuffed up takes, perhaps some intro "overmatter" when doing a punch-in style take.
Eventually you finish the song.
But what you now have leftover is masses of audio takes, all with numerical names (recording take 1, 2, 3 etc), and no way to identify whether they are part of the finished song, or just mistakes.
So when you hit "save all media with song" you get all the crap too.
I believe Live has a function where it just gathers material that is actually used.
Does AcidPro-6 solve this problem I wonder ?
So long as it involves some serious price-cutting, and some big leaps in useful features, we'll be the winners...TVD wrote:Zero dB wrote:Wow![]()
Looks like the guys at Sony have finally been listening to what we've all been saying on their forums for years! This looks really exciting:

ACID may have finally become a serious DAW![]()

Sony is soooo ready for a fight!!!![]()
I think the marketing war between Sony (Acid Pro 6) & Ableton (Live 5) is going to get wicked!!!

I think this one may be ultra vires...
i don´t know if on Acid we can route a VSTi as an input
on a MIDI track.
the more i read about AP6 the more i wanna try it out.
This is one thing I really hope they'll add to 6.0. I can't be the only person in the world who finds the QUERTY keyboard perfect for simple arpeggios, or testing a freebie VST, or cueing a pad, or other simple tasks, can I?
[My subtle reasoning is that I can screw around with QUERTY and still get other useful work done in the gaps. Whereas, when I set up a MIDI keyboard, there's the day gone...]
