After listening to all the posted examples,
I must say, I am not impressed at all.
its sounds very unpleasing and harsh to my ears.

Here is a MP3 demo, done a few months ago,
using my brand-new engine.

The 5150 simulation first, than the real amp.

and another one, the second part is taken from CD and has some room on it,
that the first part doesn't have.

Thanks to Vervil and Killvehicle for playing the dry takes.
Absolutely awash with delay, reverb and a whole bunch of other crap. Post a clip without
the gunk so we can hear the actual toneality of the sim.

Amplitude sounds unpleasing and harsh to your ears? Get some better monitors or go see the
ear doctor dude.
please read again,
and another one, the second part is taken from CD and has some room on it,

that takes from my amp were completely dry.
not any effect were applied to them,
you heard the pure amp sim.

also on, 5150_Vervil-Rene_amp_Matt.mp3,
their was no effect applied but I copied and shifted one audio track a little bit, to match that sound picture of the Matt
take a little better.
which was by the way a 5150 using a Mesa cab.
if you want the pure sound, simply pan full left or right,
then you have it.

Again, no effects were applied Doc. :P

Midiworks, bring up your amp sim or stop posting any teasers, regardless of how good (or bad) they are.
It's supposed to be "almost ready" since almost 2 years. I promise you that nobody will buy it anymore if you keep proceeding like you are. If there's a single hint of a bug people will think it'll just take as long for the product to be updated. Which is inacceptanle.

In the meantime, GR2 and AT2 have been released, plus a whole bunch of reasonable freebies. Yet there's not a hint of a sign of your ampsim to ever see the daylight.

The examples you posted sound fine to my ears - but so do the ones made by Mutant. And he's using freeware only.
So, bring it up or just forget about it.

Sorry if this is sounding harsh, but your marketing tactics are no better than IKMMs in any way.
"It'll be worth the wait."
"It'll be better than anything you've ever heard."
"It'll use revolutionary new technology."

All fine with me, but then let us decide by ourselves. So far it's vapourware since almost 2 years. The xmas-amp doesn't help much either as it's showing quite some problems.

"Here is a MP3 demo, done a few months ago,
using my brand-new engine." - Brandnew, eh?
I don't know what's keeping you away from releasing it, but after all championrabbit might just be right.

Sorry, but you kinda asked for it.

It is very interesting to see that although AT2, GR2, GTR2 and many others amp sims have been released, there is still the need yet for another amp sim...

This just shows imo, and despite the progress made by emulation, that nothing so far comes close enough to the real thing. Whether for clean sounds or hi-gain sounds.

OK here is a demo I did with AT1. I Know its not what we are talking about, but if its in 1 in must be in 2. I think it sounds all right, and it is not a SOLO take, it is a full song with AT1. BY tthe eay the MP3 conversion was fcuking terrible for some reason, I used Wavelab which usually is great, but not this time for a reason. SDO it is real washy on the highs, although the guitars sound pretty good still, so check it out if you wish.. go here. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=522101

SO far I only put 1 song there, itrs called Surgery. This is by far our most straight forward song, I think thats why I tried AT1 , since there is some space for amp sims to work,, Cause usually we are bl;azing and amp sims CAN NOT reproduce the static associated with fast picking..

Agree with you Sascha, Midi should be more serious and more trustworthy to his potential customers. Although, I must say that his sounds (however they are created) are so much better than everything Ive heard from AT2 so far. It is isnt even in the same league. His 5150 is THE Higain sound if you ask me.

Cmon Midi, you had your time for coding. It is the time to launch the product (if it exists) and give us a demo so we can try for ourself.

Cheers

Sounds beautiful, but way too much money. It's the tone of the ultra rich.

I'm quite happy with the FREE simulanalog stuff and the effects included with my sequencer.

Rene could you PM me the HighGain2R2 dry take in wav please ? I need it to use your sample as a reference.
Here's what I made using the dry take posted earlier (same riff, tuned higher) :

Cheul High Gain

EDIT : and a further EQ-ed version (less boxy sounding) :
Cheul High Gain EQ

"The Komet™ is a powerful 60-watt, all tube amplifier. It is not intended as a practice amp, nor will it produce blistering distortion at bedroom volume levels."

"The Airbrake™ sounds very natural and “real” at reasonable levels of attenuation. It allows the user to bring the level of the Komet™ down to that of a cranked 20 Watt amplifier, while retaining it’s distinct voice and dynamics. It is therefore best suited to match the Komet™ to a smaller room, or quieter playing setting."

So, yeah, loud tube amps sound great! :) A 20 watt tube amp cranked WILL get you arrested, trust me! ;)

Even a 1-watt amp can shake your room, never mind a 20-watter.

As for AT2... judging from the clips I've heard, it makes me all the more pleased with my TonePort (ie. same tones as PODxt).

Pretty good, cheul! The riffs have got that, hm, let's say "EVH bite".
