Me too
. I used orion for years and still have fun with it. There was this one really bad update in a decade - I think it's time to forget this now and give it the respect it deserves.

Orion was always a lot of fun... and I made some cool music with it. As a matter of fact, I tend to do very different stuff with each different host. I could use any of them really and make music... well maybe not N-Track or Metro. Those 2 were just too weird... But I've used (and owned) Cubase, Reason, Acid, Muzys, Tracktion, EXT, Orion, Fuity and Logic. Which is where I currently reside... When you know it, it's like autopilot!

its not really a host per/say- but i created the backing for a cd's worth of material with it before i got my computer .. mtv music generator for playstation.. god that thing was limited , the loops sucked and you could hardly read the screen (especially on a small tv). i thought it was cool at the time tho'
.. i did have cubase midi only (v2 or something like that), way back sometime in early 90's on an atari.- that would suck now!

the company that made the mtv programme expected you to put their logo on any commercial release you created with it too..

CUbase!
That's the devil. It captured our minds and spoiled them with its greezy phylosofy. I! HATE! Cubase. Ugly, huge, complex as hell, and a DONGLE!!! ohh no... Cubase eats a user each midnight. I'm pretty sure. It's like a gremlin which sits in his hole and wants fresh meat.
But there are FLS and Orion, they are here to kill the dragon! Hooray! Lets welcome heros and bless them for holy fight!
ohhh... too much beer for today...

By the way, ACID was a nice software few years ago... but right after SonicFoundry logo was changed to Sony, it has become a crapy host... I can't get - which screen resolution they supposed I should have??? I hate when plugin window doesn't let me to access play/stop buttuns, and when it sticks to each corner when I move it around... and also i tried to install newest version of ACID recently: it took me about 20 minutes just to install and lauch! Unpacking, reloading, going to web to download additional software it needs... holy crap. But removing it was faster

I doubt if that would make a difference. The kid says he uses Orion. I say, he must have developed tolerance at a high level.headquest wrote:So you've not tried Cubarse?MaxJoy wrote: Sorry, I've no hated host to offer
