P.S.: I once devised a system for categorizing rock music on a continuum of hardness, much like Moh's scale of rock and mineral hardness... or Moe Howard's (of the Three Stooges) scale of conking on the head hardness. You measured it by playing the music and seeing which materials it would scratch.
There were some practical difficulties, yes, but it's the grand ideas I do; let someone else implement the pesky little details.
