This was a very nice listen, indeed! :D

Not only did you make a fine track, the way you all put it together set an example for a lot of other cats who might hook up, as well.

Thanks, for that! :tu:
I've got nothing to sell...am I on the right site?

oooops sorry guys!!! my motherboard is blown, it gonna takes few more days for gigabyte to send me a new one(out of stock) i ll up my solo as soon, when is the deadline??

Post

hey tongsong, good to see you back! nah, no deadline, whenever you can is fine.

So, the ending... well, I haven't wanted to say anything about that, because I suspected you bastards would stick me with it. And now you have.

ok, ok -- I'll play a head out with some sort of simple coda -- Thursday night with any luck. :)
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

if we're gonna do a finished mix of the takes so far tongsong's oughtta be in there too, it's a good one.
Actually, maybe this will work - I'm happy to play the out chorus if you'd prefer.

nah, I'm fine with it, sketched out a little coda and had a go without recording, went pretty easily, shouldn't be hard to get a take. Getting the first head/solo was like pulling teeth, something seems to have happened in the meantime though, seem to have internalized the tune. At last. :hihi:

ok here's an outchorus with a simple ending --

and the changes for the coda -- after bar 38 jump to

| Bb13 | A7#9 |

F#m7b5 | Fm7 | Em7 | A7 |

Dm7 | G7 | Fm7 | Bb7 |

Em7 | A7 | Dmaj7

or Dmaj7#11, whatever -- pretty sure I don't need to spell out extensions for you guys

hope it works -- not as purty as the first solo was, but should be fine with some help from bass and piano :)
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

Very nice :)

well, we still have to get tongsong's chorus. So what's the rush? :D

hey, see what you think of this tune, rather obscure bossa -- I took it off a Jim Hall record, they do it more as a jazz tango, only recording of it I've heard. Apparently it was on a Beth Carvalho record in the 70s, that one seems to be out of print.

Good tune though -- there's actually an interlude between solos as well on the record which I don't think it needs, so hey, it's not on the paper :)

I'm happy with that, mate - fire away, unless you want me to play it first?

yeah, if you want to kick it off, that'd be great! About 112 feels about right for this one.
