This lookahead maximiser is real sweet. I've spent the last couple days remixing cd's w/ JB Barricade Pro limiter, and it has 1024 samples lookahead.

Anyways yours has that nice soft, pumpy quality that makes a good listen.

I want to say thanks for the incredible plugin (aradaz maximizer).
And i was thinking that ableton live's limiter is ok...

Your limiter killed live's by leaps and bounds. I cant believe that your limiter even pushed so hard retains so much transients clarity.

i checked with high quality cans (senhheiser hd 25-1 II) atm and i am so impressed. Tomorrow that i can fire up my focal's i will give another go

Wow, really a good maximizer!
I compared it for the last hours to the other "loudmakers" i got and it sounds really good (keeps the punch, without any noticeable artefacts or whatsoever).

I really like my UAD Maximizer for giving the Synthbuss some gain and rawness, but on the Masterbuss your Maximizer is top notch! I used the T-Racks Multiband Limiter going into Voxengos Elephant so far but the Multiband does distort pretty obvious when pushed a bit to much. The aradaz maximizer brings up a lot of gain without the distortion.
I now really like a mixture of the aradaz maximizer + T-Racks Multiband Limiter + Elephant every one doing just a tiny bit but the overall sound is punchy while still not sounding squashed (having an RMS about -9dB).

I'm planning to make Aradaz Maximizer 5 Mac AU/VST version, is anyone interested?

Aradaz Maximizer 5 Audio Units and VST plugins for Mac has been released.
Both version are in Universal Binary format, it can be used for Intel and Power-PC based Mac computers.

Hi guys

Just update the Aradaz Maximizer 5 to Ver.1.6.5

Changes:

* Reduce CPU consumption up to 20%
* Mac: GUI bug fixed
* Mac: Host compatibility improved
* Win: Default file name is changed to AradazMaximizer5.dll
* Win: New about box look

One question, though : do you plan to add look-ahead to this one, or slap a GUI on your SLAM maximizer ?
(I'm really in love with your Maximizer for its punchyness, but it distorts quite easily (and heavily) on bass-heavy material in several situations)

I ran it into a scope and watched, nice brickwall action, got a good deal of headroom before it distorted.

Thanks for this update.
It is amazing how hard you can push some things before they sound almost bad enough to go on radio...
This plugin really is fantastic for mastering stuff for replay in noisy environments or at very low levels. Gets used a lot at my place.
