Yes, excellent entries by all! It was a very difficult decision and I learned a lot just by listening to all your music, practically every day since this contest began...
Still, would love to do it again

Really tough task having to choose here... can't we do multiple votes? no eh..
My vote goes to VitaminD, even though I would have liked a little less "clutter" in the mix, I mean I would have chosen a different balance. But I just love the song and how the instruments part melt together with energy...
Special mentions, FWIW, to emaiale and dacaumodo for very interesting musical ideas (and sound quality!).
I agree with who said before me: great stuff in all submissions!
Cheers and thanks,
Mario

I had to totally rush this. Worked on it one hour in total I think (I'm swamped with work)

I'll post the fl project later on. I did do some mixer stuff with it to create delays and fadeins and stuff (no fx though). It's only half finished, but I hope you guys will enjoy it.
I haven't had time to listen to the other entries yet, will do that at some point too.

My vote goes to mleghorn.
And believe you me it was a hard choice since all the entries are excellent, I think they really do justice to these great patches.
In the end the criterion I used was that mleghorn's entry surpised me the most and sounds so far from what I could have achieved (not to say I'd have been able to come up with all the other excellent entries!)
I think all the tracks are keepers, definitely.

Afraid you came in a bit late though (?)

Hmmm difficult one because we have already started the voting and we cant reverse the votes but you did post at an early stage that you would participate if work permitted. Kyran i'm afraid you came in much to late, sorry. I hope you understand.Kyran wrote:I had to totally rush this. Worked on it one hour in total I think (I'm swamped with work)

I liked a lot of ideas in much of the entries.. However, my vote is for mabian ('different' being the only entry that ended up in my music folder - gave me chills good stuff)
quality work though folks... very tough competition we have here
btw do I get handicap bonus points for only entering once and not touching my entry after initial upload?
Since we're voting by musician and not by song, those who entered multiple times have a significantly larger probability of winning vs. us one hit wonders that kept any flaws in our entries after initial upload.

I thought the deadline was midnight today, but no problem, my mistake. Enjoy the demo anyway (even though it got rushed out of the door)

shame you missed the deadline.. your entry is good, a little short but good.. has a bit of an autchre-like feel to it imo.. or maybe autchre has a kryan-like feel to their musicKyran wrote:I thought the deadline was midnight today, but no problem, my mistake. My vote goes to Electrobop's "Don't Cry Girlfriend". I like the variety of sounds, the rythm in the violin section, and how the trumpet carries the melody in the first repeat. Nice use of presets.
